Found out a few days ago i need a rebuild

So, I took my rx7 (s4 tii) to neptune speed to have yoshiya retune my pfc for my bigger injectors and to help rewire my fuel pump, and found out that i have a possible blown corner seal! I asked him how much for a rebuild and how long, price was fair but it would take a lot longer than i would want to wait. I have nothing against neptune speed, yoshiya is my main rx7 mechanic and will always go to him for work.

I'm going to have to go with lucky 7 racing for the rebuild though. I think a lot of people go rebuilds from fris here right? I'm going to have it towed there this coming week, tuesday i think. Any suggestions on what to do since i'm getting a rebuild? Is it worth porting, and how much life of the engine does it sacrifice if i do a port. also should i do the throttle body port? Also i want to know different peoples experience with lucky 7 and the work they do and how the rebuild has been holding up for everyone else.

I think so too, everyone is endorsing them,so i'm sure they will. It just sucks though cuz all i wanted to do was tune the 1300cc injectors dang it!

Lucky 7 did my rebuild on an 87 N/A with a small street port and its running strong as ever 30,000 miles later with plenty of abuse.

I've had them do countless other work on my cars as well, and have always had top notch work done by them with great customer service. I always feel completely safe leaving my car in their hands, unlike how I feel with a regular mechanic.

And in regards to throttle body porting, check out their site for the info on that and decide for yourself. http://www.lucky7racing.net/

I have a factory brand new (not rebuild) S4 TII engine sealed and in storage for such a future need. Lucky catch a while back.

Fris is a good guy, works hard, and excellent business ethics. Feel good about putting your engine needs in his hands.

well on stock port you can achieve about 350-380hp depending on the setup.. a mild port would allow for more airflow faster...

might as well go with a meduim street port, and port the TB
