Do you have my press/socket set?

A while back I loaned out my shop press and large socket set to a local West forum member who wanted to do his suspension bushings. We communicated back and forth during his install, but I have not heard back from him in some time. I was hoping to get my tools back, so I could use them for other projects. Not sure what the member's username was, but you and your pal came by in an s10 pickup to pickup the stuff. Either PM me or respond to this thread. It remains to be seen whether a good deed to a fellow rx7 owner gets me burned, or works out in the end...

what?!?!

are you like slightly retarded, or fully retarded.

why would you lend someone your tools without even knowing the guys name or atleast username.

not to be a dick, but maybe this should be a lesson learned.

I had his name and with enough research can find the info again. Then what, drive to his house with a pipe? File a police report? This post is the first step in re-claiming my stuff by letting him know that I need it once again.
Actually I find it quite "dick" that you adopt the mindset that given the opportunity to steal from someone who was helping you out.
The point is I helped out a fellow forum member, and I would expect the same individual to act with integrity. Several times I have trusted other members of the forum, and it has worked out so far. Literally ~100 members have been to my home and I have installed parts on their car, and assisted with their installs. I do not meet them in an alley a mile away with one hand on a revolver in my back pocket. At the end of the day I feel greater pride in my assistance to the community out of the goodness of my heart, then screwing people out of a couple bucks. I expect the same in return. I would also imagine that this community would be better off with more guys like myself, and less guys like you.

I guess I am being a bit harsh, but somehow your original statement does not indicate to me that I should contact the member personally. Potentially I don't speak Jane (if that is your name) very well. Maybe you should stop being so cryptic. In case you forgot what you wrote let me repeat it below:

Don't see any mention of contacting the other member directly. No, all I see are assumptions and a suggestion not to help out forum members.

Let me guess you are also the kind of guy that drives by stranded people on the side of the road and does not pull over to help because they could be dangerous. Or is it that the action could put you in a financial bind by delaying your commute? For whatever reason you find it incomprehensible to personally sacrifice to assist someone in need. That is fine for you, but don't lambast the people that do stop to help. Someday you may be on the side of the road...

BTW: thanks for the well wishes on getting my "****" back

haha we both left things to assume, and guess what, we both assumed. lets leave it at that.

translations get lost through text so i could see how my comment seemed like i was mad or didnt care.

but yes i want you to get your tools back. cus it sucks to lose that money/time/tools

is very unprofessional to make a thread in public, asking for your tools back, just throwing that out there.

you are right, i do not always pull over. sometimes the places i need to be are more important. not gonna lie. thats why they have tow trucks, and other people like you who pull over.

however, i do help when i can no matter what if its not out of my way. whether its going to make me late or not.

Don't worry about him Mike, he's a douche. Anyways, do you remember if he posted a thread wanting to borrow the tools, and you replying to it? If so, (when the actual west forum returns, and if he posted the thread in the west section) you can backtrack your posts and you should be able to get his username that way.

Kinda back

Real west section seems to have been salvaged. Unfortunately west classifieds seems to still be a loss, even thought the "temp" has been removed. You can tell by the number of pages listed.

So it seems all that information is sadly lost.

Phat, I ran around the place looking at cars, and for ya but did not see which one was yours. I don't know why you were not sitting in front of your car all day!
If you ever drive it to your shop let me know and I'll come by on my way home.

Found the thread:

I've PM'd him, and am looking to arrange a time to return the stuff. Thanks for the info about the west section being restored guys.

Wow, this tread make me got a better look at the other side of the world that i dont see often. If there only more people like 65Imp, with that said sometime everyone so caught up with the personal life that they forgot that if you take time to help other out, other will do the same. I guess i trying to say is "If you scratch my back, i will scratch your back".

And 65Imp, i look up to you!
