Yep, I just realized I’ve been here for 10 years now and still have the FD three states and a rebuild later. Not even the belligerents can say that

I'm still on my original FD for now. I'm driving it across the monsoon infested desert tonight so maybe not for long.

you bought your FD in 02 right? I remember seeing a picture of your parents and the FD when you got it. I thought it was funny you got your from the midwest and were in Florida, and i bought mien from Florida and was in the midwest. I only joined the boards right after I bought mine in 02.
hey did you work on the solar car in your sig?

Fisa, I bought the FD from Atlanta when I lived in Miami. My dad trailered it back since I didn't have my license yet Then it was trailered from Miami to Los Angeles a year later.
The car in my sig is a SAE Supermileage car I built and competed with for my university. It's not solar, but full carbon fiber with a heavily modified Briggs & Stratton engine getting 1275 mpg. I was the captain and driver of the team that built and raced that car for two years. Then the right before I graduated I did a fellowship with the Center of Energy and Sustainability that made me convert it to be hydrogen fuel cell powered.
DivinDriver, my butt is tired. I just read the shenanigans in the west section now

Hi Waysho, it's nice to finally meet another rotary enthusiast who's been on these boards as long as I've been. I can't believe it either....I'm still on my original FD AND original motor. All OEM with no bridge-port work but still boosting 15lbs. Can't believe the luck!

Tom: yea I can't believe you stuck it through all these years. It's amazing you didn't paint your red car CYM or at least get a beater! The belligerency is strong with you.
Fisa: it was a fun project while it was fun. Then it became the bane of my existence. A lot of nights in the engineering garage labs napping in the donated NSX or blow up bed.
Yea, THESE guys. The newer group seems a bit more "fun" from the pics I see. I still haven't met tight pants himself. Just see him whoring it up on FB.
TheAbsence: top speed was dependent on the weight of the driver. I clocked it at 45 which is scary in that car. I hit a crack in the road and almost got hit by a truck. Considering that the body is all cf with honeycomb aluminum reinforcement on the bottom and firewall I'm lucky I didn't.
The funny thing about my sig is that I was going to put a pic of the FD but I literally don't have one.
