"- Engine shut off system."

I assume that means turbo timers?

you can't go by what the smog station prints out or says...cause some cars may not have come with some of those parts or mods...So i don't know what to tell you...You buy some parts for your car that may not go to your car, and end up wasting money

If all you have is an intake and BOV what's tteh problem. Put the stockers on and take it in. Oh, and what did you expect with tinted lights and no front plate. those are like gimme pull overs in CA. Not to sound like a jerk, but I'd consider yourself lucky with the small amount of mods you ned to change to comply.
Good luck!

Wait so were you tail lights tinted or were they the stock tint? Because if they are the stock tint then you have no problem?

It's really not that bad around this part of the Bay Area. It's usually the Hondas that get their hoods popped around here.

Plus I'm a 16 year old Asian kid driving a sports car. I'm basically the prime target. It's good to know a lot of the cops in the area too.

in the past week ive had 3 friends get state ref tickets. Integra right past the bay bridge on 80. WRX on 101N coming back from Palo Alto. S2000 on 101S in San Jose. All 3 state ref tickets was CHP. The WRX guy already went to ref and they highlighted what he had to fix. 1.Precat 2. turbo timer and misc wiring 3. aftermarket boost controller and misc wiring.

My worker got pulled over for speeding and the officer asked if he had anything illegal under the hood, my worker said "Honestly officer, I do" Cop let him off for speeding and didnt pop his hood, gave him a ticket for no proof of insurance.

More business for me....muhahaha. im scared to drive my FD tho, im looking for a stealthy quiet exhaust. Hopefully this 11-99 foundation plate frame helps with something....

they are not offering the plates and wallet thinigie anymore, but you are still welcome to donate!

They used to offer bronze, silver, and gold memberships. You can tell which one based on the type of liscense plate from you get. $1200 was the lowest i remember it being, most recently before they did away with the program bronze membership was at 5k.

There are plenty of people that sell just the frames now, including fake ones so be careful.

Agreed, i have gotten like 2 license plate tickets and a tint ticket. cops in california have a tendency to use something small just to get you on the side of the road and then gets you to pop your hood. its happened to me twice thank god no ref ticket though. both times the cop had no idea what the **** was going on and i have like all my emissions solenoids ripped out and like a header and a fake cat with 3" exhaust. usually the cops are wrong in writing tickets they make up stuff as they go. not one of my fix it tickets have stuck because the cops here are morons when it comes to aftermarket performance stuff.

They are still offering memberships. You just cannot do it online.

You need to be at least 25 years old and minimum of 10,000 to join now. You still get the wallet badge and plates and stickers. CHP is not stupid enough to lose out on free money.

11-99 works, if you paid the top of the line membership. My friends have gotten away with serious ****, in really modified cars.

I don't have the stock bov and my taillights come light stock like that. I have no problem just buying a stock bov but I don't feel like taking out my gauges, turbo timer, and other wiring. Also if I do take it out, my hc are still high. It's weird, i passed smog a month ago . I rather pay the fine and be stress free for 2 more years. yeah I am lucky compared to guys who have single turbo set ups.

"starbucks carshow" hahaha, so ****** true! most of those guys never want to run. believe it or not, SOME guys there are actually down to race.

i got pulled over yesterday on noriega and 30th! the cop kept going on about state refs and how my car can get impounded and would cost up to $10,000. he says my tint was too dark and my exhaust was too loud. made me pop my hood, luckily he didnt notice i didnt have a front license plate and luckily i still had my stock intake box. he goes on telling me that i cant have more than 3 mods on my car and that i exceeded it but he was trying to act smart and say i have an exhaust but not an intake and that if i add an intake, i would gain extra hp. wtf? hes telling me not to mod my car, now hes trying to pretend he knows hella ****. overall he gave me a fix it ticket instead.

i got stoped by the police at dc and they said i had a raced modified vehicle, i kept telling her that i didnt have one and insisted on her to pop my hood and check my engine. (girl cops are the worst)She kept saying i had Nos and she didnt check and the car was modified Lawl i leveled her. no nos tho.

Also i use to own a mr2 and a cop stoped me when i was leaving starbucks and he told me he wanted to see my engine, so he rants on about how he knows sooo much about cars and he can spot out anything. Makes me get out the car, takes me infront of the car and pop my hood and *poof* i say "yea i run on a tire" he felt sooo stupid he gave me a fix it ticket on my exhuast and no front license plate lol

**** dc cops
