"Fullerton basketball made it to the NCAA tourney this year, though they were eliminated in the first round"
Thank you for knowing that.
GO TITANS!!
PS to Brismo: Cheating as in NCAA violations that gets your entire basketball program on probation. You know, assistant coach's taking tests for players. Buying players parents houses, cars, Rolex's, hookers, etc.

awww, no wonder he didnt mention nothing about fullertons football team. it seems they sucked really bad and therefore: The CSU Fullerton Football program, discontinued in 1992.
and some of fullertons best players actually made it to the CFL (thats the canadian football League)

"CSU Fullerton Football program, discontinued in 1992." Maybe, but they can also claim they got themselves a top 25 ranking, and produced players such as Mark "the only guy who could cover Jerry Rice" Collins, Damon Allen ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damon_Allen )[/url], and Mike Pringle ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Pr...ootball_player) )
And we still lasted one year longer than Long Beach. They dropped their program in 1991, and then on the heals of the distinction of their players killing Hall of Fame football coach George Allen.

YAY!!! GO 49ERS!! WOOHOOO!
GO BEACH!!
Wow...you youngins....I wont even say when I graduated from Long Beach...but to you Fullerton freaks...how can you even compare?
Baseball? ugh....How about Olympic Gold Medalist Misty May Trainer? Her number is retired at the PYRAMID!! Let's compare what counts. Campus and Chicks.
Please do not try to say CSUF has anything remotely called a campus. No one even knows where the school is....let alone its campus. Long Beach State has a GORGEOUS campus...we got the Pyramid etc...
Now girls? Lets not even start...LBSU has waaaaaaaaay hotter girls than CSUF...that is just a fact...not my opinion.
That is all...BEACH PRIDE! Class of XXXXX

From Wikipedia:
"The Beach has several rival schools when it comes to sports. In addition to being located in close proximity to each other, Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton have competed heavily as conference rivals in baseball for nearly 20 years."
And thus platform where AsiamImage and I come from. I was cheering for Misty myself.
Best looking Coeds? Copy and paste from a 2005 OC Weekly article:
If you're keeping tabs at home, Playboyhas featured seven Cal State Fullerton coeds in its College Girls specials, while UC Irvine bests all local schools with an incredible nine. But caveat lector: Playboy put all the Titan and Anteater models in early 1990s issues highlighting the "Girls of the Big West," which meant the competition was from loser schools such as Fresno State, Long Beach State and the University of the Pacific. In Stockton. Moooo.
http://www.ocweekly.com/2005-02-03/n...e-not-so-wild/
However:
Cal State Fullerton - 13 NCAA National Championships in 8 different sports.
But, at this mid-major level, it's been all about baseball the last 25 years where "the LBSU baseball team has become one of the most successful teams in the school's athletic history." "appeared in 4 College World Series (Omaha)"
Not bad. However, CSUF has produced 43 MLB players, has WON the College World Series 4 times (most recently 2004), enjoyed post season play 17 year in a row, and has been to Omaha 15 times.
Basketball?
Sure Long Beach made the NCAA's in '07. But on the shoulders of illegal players which is why the program is on extended probation. And at that they were crushed in the first round loosing by 35 points.
CSUF, this past season tied regular season championship, won Big West tournament, but lost first round to Wisconsin but represented staying close until the last 5 mintues when second best player fouled out. Still only loosing by 15.
And, what the HECK does a Pyramid have to do with being a 49er???
Final comment to Brismo. It isn't my opinion I'm giving about Mark Collins. It references a quote FROM Jerry Rice. Dion Sanders was even more vocal about Collins. http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpag...rssnyt&emc=rss
