of Calaveras? I saw a video of a guy in an rx8 chasing a biker, the video was like 8 minutes long.. if that gives you an idea of the road

Ill second on the google maps pic. Im not from the area so it would be nice to get a visual. What time would we be doing this and where would we meet? I gotta plan ahead since itll probably take me an hour and a half to even get to the meet up place. lol

ok I looked on google earth, we would go from the place you mentioned earlier and the go to calaveras road. and stay on it through the hills and what not until it comes back down into town a bit south of the original meeting place?

How long of a drive is this? (just the calaveras road part) just trying to get a rough estimate so we can set up a time and id know what time to leave from the central valley. lol

hmmm, probably a couple miles or so. and personally, i think a good meeting spot would be somewhere around the great mall area, because its an easy spot to find, especially if you meet at Dave and Busters, lots of space, i think.. and its pretty much right before Calaveras too.. either way, you'd get there eventually

im trying to round up a couple guys from my area to go as well. just to be clear, its open to most cars right? (minus the dumb ricer honda guys that might cause ****.) I got a buddy with a 240sx that might go and quite a few contacts of guys with Z cars that might be interested.

 

matt, do you know any lowered white series 1 rx8s on OEM wheels in Modesto?

 

sorry, I literally have seen 1 rx8 and it was a blue one completely stock. I try to keep my eyes open as much as possible and even tell my wife to tell me any time she sees one, and where. haha. to date i have only seen the 1 rx8 around and no other gen's of rx7s. Could be that I dont drive around enough or they arent being driven right now too though. I have heard of them around town and read here on the forums of some guys that say theyre from my town, but I have yet to see any.

 

oh, i see.. well im not sure of the size of modesto, but you make it seem like a special occasion to see one lol. I try to keep my eyes out for the FDs.. I've only seen one in person, black, real clean. anyways, its a downer whenever i see stock rx8s.. then its just another regular driver. currently, im in process of making my 8, err, stand out in my own way. you'd see what i mean if this cruise develops lol

 

I'm down but 26-27 I'm going pismo. Unless we all drive down there hahaha

Lol modesto isnt huge. But not really small either. I would say maybe 250,000 ppl. But for me, seeing another rotary IS a bug deal. No matter what size of city. Lol

 

Can we do something other than Calaveras?

I'd rather do Skyline to Saratoga. Maybe have lunch at Alice's? Skyline is much nicer than POS Calaveras.

 

I should be there, in my white FB. I'll try to get my buddy Tom or a few other 510/240 guys to come. Hell we can't turn away people, because there's like 3 people in Rx7's that would show up. LOL
