Welding in a roll bar is not going to be cheap...

It's not just setting in the 4 point's then welding it and bam done.
The interior will need to be removed where the point's will be welded, the surface prepped and cleaned and floor plate's installed for the bar's to mount to as they can't be just welded straight to the floor pan.
Then the bar's will need to be measured as well as the car and cut to fit as they are more than likely too long for the car so that the buyer can have it custom fit to their need's.

Figure about .5 hour for the interior removal, 1 hour of prep and cleaning the surface's, 1.5 hour's to install the floor plate's for the point's to mount to, 2-3 hour's to measure, cut and weld in the roll bar.

Your looking at about $500 in just labor for the install by a good shop that will probably charge about $100 an hour.

That's what I would charge to install a 4 point roll bar, it's not easy which is why they charge $100 an hour to do the work.

you know anyone with a welder? DIY!! you could strip your interior and prep the spots where it needs to be welded onto the chassis and get some pipes and a pipe bender and have some fun with it. Be sure to draw and measure out each piece for proper clearance on paper and for the right head room too. Also don't forget the helmet for track events hehe.

What does throwing something have to do with installing a roll bar?

Oh, I see now. Your poor grammar skill's had me confused for a second there like the rest of your useless post's.

I also don't see what's so funny about what I would charge to install that roll bar at my shop? If you want something that's good quality and safe then you have to pay to play, plain and simple. You'll get the same answer from any reputable shop.

To the thread starter- I forgot to ask what was your purpose for installing the roll bar?
If for some type of racing you will need certain roll bar material and other requirement's for it to be legal. Most of the time it has to be DOM steel which does cost more than your average summit/jegs/etc.. DIY roll bar kit which is only legal for NHRA drag racing and nothing else as far as I know.

i didnt say anything bad about your shop. I didnt even ask you about your shop? The kids car is already 75% carpetless... Idk why he wants a roll bar maybee he will do some local events with me...skidpad etc.... He has one of these http://i1.frsimg.com/images/detailed...tRollBar_1.jpg i think, its all in one pice. All he needs is some1 to weld 4 points to the car. But he didnt really explain that.... So relax a bit guy.
