lol, you're killing me man... already made the commitment and have parts ready to go... initially I put my car together with the intention of going single turbo. have plenty of fuel and the supporting mods to go with it... but the gain in low end torque and instant throttle response is what I'm going for, I'll let you guys know how it turns out

pedal pressure was fine, no issue there... no fluid leaks, no change in master cylinder fluid level.
pulled back into the pits and yep, the smell was def coming from the fronts. the rotors looked fine, nothing else out of the ordinary... well except it looked like some material was stuffed in the rotor slots (brake pad material?)... I didn' t remove the wheels to check. good news is that they seemed to get better as the day wore on, by the end of the day they seemed to work great again.
I'm wondering if I didn't bed the pads in well enough? there was definitely an issue with friction between the rotor/pad, wonder if I may have gotten something (grease, brake fluid, paint?) on the pads/rotors when putting the car back together, although I was very careful not to. Or maybe my calipers are dying on me and can't exert enough force on the pads... the car was very stable and symmetric under braking (no diving to one side), so that would mean both of them (fronts) would be dying.. but I am starting to think that I got something on the rotors. I will take off the wheels this weekend and remove the pads to inspect them and the rotors and report back.
one of the guys out there had an s2000 who was a very good driver and he was shocked I was using DOT3 fluid in my car... guess I'll have to use the super blue you gave me on my next outing
these guys try to do two events a year, one spring, one fall, you better be there at the next one so you can give the vettes a hard time! I'm gonna try and have my car running (swapped) by the next event, not on track, but I will probably show up to hang out and go for rides, honestly that's a lot of fun when you get to ride in a 600+ hp car that can not only go straight but handle well too.

Your brake issues sound like mine at Fontana. I could smell mine a bit and the brakes werent bitting like they should have. After a quick bedding process, they worked awesome the rest of the day. Definitely get the Super Blue in there. It's way better than whatever is in your car now
I'll make sure I'm at the next event. Hopefully the Vette guys dont leave me in the dust since I've never driven on this track

The vette guys are super cool, the guy who filmed me actually offered to take video of other cars because he wanted to, how cool is that?
Car will start coming apart any day now, either this weekend or next. Have a shitload of stuff to get rid of. I am actually very sad... the car runs great and then I tear it apart, don't people normally blow the motor up first and then tear it up I drove the car for two hours just for fun in the rain last weekend after the track day, dirt still all over my interior... gonna miss this thing as a rotary, it lived a very good life, and should serve its new owner well as long as they take care of it.

You'll get the track pretty quick, will probably have it wired by lunchtime. You can drive as fast or as slow or as much or as little as you want, there is that much free time to explore since we only have a limited number of drivers, it's really the way to go man... I will probably never do a speedv or redline event ever again. I really like BW, it's a very fun track, elevation changes, different types of turns, and nothing really to hit.

I don't think you'll regret going ls1. The wide torque band makes track driving a dream. Single turbo rotaries can be fast but a narrow power band isn't nearly as forgiving if you get caught in the wrong gear.
Robert will give you a hard time but it's mostly in jest. I think he's bummed about how much he spends in race fuel for a track day... All while I'm sipping on Arco's finest 91 octane.
Did you notice that vette owners seem a lot more kick back about folks doing what they want with their cars? Maybe it's the good old boy roots, but it seems like I take plenty of crap from my rotarded friends where as the vette guys just say my car is bitchin and leave it at that.

I wish I could have too man. Work schedule has sucked lately. These seem to be cool Vette owners. You know I don't hang with them old fart, patriotic Vette owners lol. They are not as cool as the RX7 community.

Will be minimum of 2 months, and more likely like 6-12 months to do it the way I want to given budget & time constraints... would really like to have it running/partially completed by xmas this year.
