You sure you're reading that thing right? It shows rain all day Saturday, 30%/40%.

They take donation through their website so we could do it in person so everyone could see. Lmk what you think about that or if you have any other ideas because I'd like all of you to come.

it would be donated onto this site:
https://american.redcross.org/site/D...ate_Code=05180

edit: I'm going to call the red cross in pasadena and see if they could have someone there collect for us. If they are willing then that would be awesome.
Good one, thanks. Keep us posted!

So I called and they said we can sign into a 3rd party contract to where we estimate how much we we will be donating and we are required to bring in the donation money into the branch to fulfill the contract. Would this be enough? I could bring a copy of the contract and stuff too. I guess this is one of our options. LMK what you guys think.

edit: Good news guys. We have been informed that our friend's company is willing to match any donation made by an employee so if she shows them our receipt then they will match what we collect on sunday .

is this good enough for ya guys?

As for checks, it says it has to be a lump sum. Also, they don't accept donations that are under 10 dollars so some people won't be able to participate if its 10.

It says in #1 of the contract that all proceeds must go to the red cross. I do not know what else you guys want me to do..

We aren't here to steal people's money. In fact we are probably raising just a modest amount with all of us. I could just write a personal check and not have a meet and it would have the same impact in Japan but that isn't what this is about. It's about getting others involved and having all of us help out while letting others who can't donate as much help as well.

I understand where all of you are coming from but if everyone kept thinking like this then nothing will ever get done. I'm not trying to force anyone to go really so if you are still skeptical then its your call. I wouldn't post up a contract with my full name on it if we weren't serious.

I understand what you are trying to say but please, if you have to post could you make it in a diff thread? I do not want to clutter the thread with posts so that the important things I posted get missed.

Once again, I am not trying to tell you you are wrong or anything and if this really isn't for you then its ok.

let's meet at the location of the L&L meet to make it easy for everyone. People are familiar with it and it's by the free way. what time is good for everyone? meet around 12:45 for a 1:00-1:15ish departure? or is a little earlier better?
