There was a huge bust last friday night, saturday morning. Heres a news report of it. It has been the biggest bust/sting in the last 3 years.

Come on guys. Seriously. Why do you think we tell you that we don't want to race around at the meets and get crazy when we're all together???
To avoid this!
Was Rocky there or was that some random dark FC with S5 modernized lights?

this might be why Oakland area might have been targetted:

For 150 bux you could have been at thunderhill and raced the crap out of your car. Now you have to pay fines, impound fees, possible license suspension on top of the court days.
Damnit you guys.

you lucky bastard. Anytime you feel like street racing take 20 bux and put it in a piggy bank. I'll let you know when the next track event is and you can use that money to go racing for reals, none of this street racing bullshit.

yea I know we should all be on the track. But its hard to get away from street racing, especially if you grew up around it, your friends do it, people from your family do it.
I've been lucky the past 4 years or so. but now its time to try to start to move away from it.

Damn!!!
Wow!! Good thing I blew my motor the week before because i know damn well you would of seen my ****** car there. I guess oakland won't be as busy for awhile.
Also how the hell is street racing bullshit. there are some real good cars that run and not everyone can wait for a track day for you to post up. Street racing isn't the best way to do things but we work with what we got and go with it.

But we all went to a friends house. Talked about it for a bit grabbed some food and thew back a couple of beers and we were laughing about it in no time. even the ones who got towed.
I mean we knew what we were doing and **** and what could happen so we can't really be mad about it. Ya know?
Its like when I crashed my 240 on touge. I was mad for like a few hours but I just accepted it a laughed it off with my friends. I mean what did I think was going to happen going *** sliding around a mountain amirite?

gheez..well at least you have a good attitude about it..i guess after all the bs..really what can you do but wait it out and get your car back asap..its good that you dident get busted for anything that serious being that your car look's stock anyway..im sure if it was fixed up a bit then it would have been a little bit worse..
:AA:

i was there to race. But I didn't get caught up for anything too serious. Yea me and all my friends were pissed for a little bit. I had to actually go home and get my beater and come back to pick up a few friends that had got towed one of them fully built TII that he had running for about a week.

Anything that puts your life, the life of others and your project in jeopardy of total obliteration in less than 20 seconds is bullshit. At at the track you can see anything that might be in your way. You can be sure the track won't have bumps or potholes. It's safer overall. You can go faster at the track than you can on the street without the added risk of pedestrians, motorists or retards. The only dumbass that can make you crash is YOU.
You all have way too much trust in the OTHER drivers. I don't trust anyone's driving (i was almost killed 2x today because some fucktards drove like their heads were up their asses) let alone anyone driving next to me at a high rate of speed in a car with power (or a FWD torquesteering POS).
I've been there, done that and once you realize how dangerous and pointless it really is you don't even want to be next to the lil street racers because you know an accident is waiting to happen.
You got lucky, you have two choices:
1. Stop while you're ahead
2. Risk it again for the rush and hope for the best.

And pertaining to both JPs and Moralis post. Theres always the two sides of street racing. So no point in arguing with each other about it guys. I can see from both point of views that are both correct and wrong.
True that Street racing is not the best way and is very dangerous. Especially events like that where you have like 100+ cars. But there are times where it does become safer... and I emphasize the ER part. Where you get you and 5-10 of your friends. And head out to some deserted *** road in the middle of a no where field. And you can race and trust the guy next to you because he is your friend. And almost at all times nothing will happen.
Then there are the bads of it. True that its dark some one could come crossing the street or some thing really dangerous could happen hitting a bump and what not. Anything is possible because it is not a controlled enviroment. So that is the bad part about street racing.
And honestly can anybody say that they have never done some extent of test and tune some where on your street/neighborhood, or the industrials near you. I can say I've done 1st - 3rd gear pulls on the back street on my neighborhood to test settings and ****. And if you have you can't really knock street racing too much, because this is what alot of people use it for. Before they drive the some 50-200 miles to the track. I know theres test and tune days blah blah blah.... I know the routine. But its 1am and you just finished installing your PFC or AFC or whatever, are you really gonna wait a week or two and drive 200 miles before you tweak it. I wouldn't I know alot of ppl on and outside this forum who didn't. I've even known performance shops that don't have dynos that have done this.

It's funny how people can think street racing has its own good side.
Sorry, there's NONE.
I can careless that it's in your 'family' or whatever bullshit, it's like I rape girls cause all my uncles did it before. Same concept. You choose what you want to do, just because your friends do it, doesn't mean you have to follow. If they say you're not 'cool' cause you bail out, then you need to find some new friends that think maturely.
