Hey, thanks for taking pity on me and pointing that out... it never occurred to me that it would be on a sunday.

I guess it is true - - every grey hair is a tiny straw sucking your brains right out your head.

There was supposed to be a cruise starting at 3, so probably no one else is back yet.

I stopped by for about half an hour (wife got bored, heh; last time she's coming along). Pretty impressive display of cars on hand, including an even dozen NSX's, a Maserati, a Lotus, Maybe 7 or 8 -7's of various generation scattered around. Lots of Vettes, Celica/Supras, 350's.

Didn't see any other first gens, and saw nobody I recognized, but I think a lot of people were in eating at the time.

Camera battery was dead... from MazFest last week, forgot to charge it. Got one cell-phone shot only:



Maybe 60, 70 cars all told; didn't count them.

 

me, maczpayne, wan and lil bro, fris were there. Food was good(Too bad no discount).


Cruise was good until the supra's fucked ours up.....
We took separate routes thinking that it would be better and we wouldn't get harassed.
But the supra,corvette,nsx pack fucked it up by running stop signs on GMR.
They came looking for that huge pack but couldn't and found us.
Some stupid little Toyota Cressida had it's registration over due, they pulled over because of the registration and because of what the Supra Pack did.

 

Everything was okay after, but that killed the day.

 

None of the -7 folks got popped with a ticket, I hope?

 

We left the meet before everyone else to go where the run was going to be held to not be in a big group of cars to avoid the fuzz. We were parked on a turnout minding our own business when the large group of cars went by us being dumb. Soon after they passed us, the cops show up and eyeball us but just as they were going to leave, a cressida parked near us had bad tags and the cop literally screeched to a halt and slammed it in reverse. He radioed in and 2 other units showed up. The first cop had a bit of an attitude but was somewhat cool. The second unit on scene was very cool/nice with us and the third unit was an *******. The third cop came out all high and mighty talking about impounding cars to tear apart and started telling us he doesnt want us racing and all this other bullshit. He ordered the second unit (nice cop) to take pictures of every car including the license plate so they can take our cars away next time were caught doing stuff he doesnt like. The nice cop asked if we were the ones running stop signs and pretty much gave us the impression that the large group of cars were being dumb out there and they werent too happy with it. Since we took a different route than the large group, the cops knew it wasnt us and were gonna let us go until the third ******* cop showed up.

We got off pretty easy. Fris got some minor fix it tickets and we were all labeled as street racers/idiots with our cars now added to their street racers file cabinet. The large group of cars was never found as far as we could tell by eavesdropping to their radios.

The meet was alright. The food was excellent and we could have done without the cops at the end. Seems like any meet with supras in it never ends well.

sucks about the people who always have to ruin it for others..
there was another meet yesterday i was reading about that i didnt go to, a bbq by the guys on zilvia.net, and the group of guys leaving where burning out, which brought attention to the rest of the guys.

Yup, we got marked! Looks like I won't be going back to that spot anytime soon, unless I'm willing to pay for it if caught.

 

the car wiht the hood up in the pic, did they check out the engine? was there any mods? Was the hood up to let it cool when parked or did the cops pop it?

 

That's Fris's car. Unfortunately the cressida with the expired tags the cops were interested in was parked right next to it. Police saw all the bling through Fris's hood. When he opened the hood, the cop just couldn't believe it.

Pretty much everything and anything illegal has been done to the underhood of that car.

myersprostatus's car was also popped since he had an exposed FMIC, but nothing happened.

Me, juan, andy and my brother got out of it without a scratch.

I ended up driving Fris's car down the hill since he had an expired license

wow. sorry to hear about all your drama up at that meet. Im sort of happy i didnt go either, lucky 7 did my work and well, i would of been in the same boat as fris.. I hope he gets that taken care of. Sucks about you guys getting profiled on the idiot list also.
