BDC Brian Cain Tuning session in Santa Rosa7/8-7/11
Brian Cain will be in Northern California, Santa Rosa specifically 7/8-7/11. He can possibly stay a day or two longer if there is enough interest. Brian is expert(IMHO) in tuning Haltechs, and can tune PFCs as well. He will be tuning my car, RXheaven, and Alex's car on the 8th, and will be available for 3-4 others on the following Saturday. Brian is known for his half bridge motors, and is an accomplished tuner. The cost will be between 325-350.00 plus dyno time depending upon the number of cars being tuned. The dyno is a mustang dyno in Santa Rosa, and will be logging HP/Torque/AFR/Boost. The graphs will show any three of the four parameters on a single graph. Race gas will be available by prior arrangement. Brians recent tuning experience includes several FCs making in excess of 450rwhp. Contact me at 707-696-2705 to secure your spot. Space is limited to 3-4 cars per day depending on the extent of tuning required. Dyno time is 85.00 per hour, or 90.00 per hour for leaded fuel. Please contact me ASAP, as I am booking Brians flight in the next day or so. Feel free to post questions, or call me for further information. Thanks, Carl Byck
FYI here is my car, a one off widebody road race car, two years in the making...

Carl, I doubt my car will be ready by then, but just in case it is: does Brian have experience tuning twin-turbo FDs with the PFC? I will have a mild street-ported motor with the BNR Stage 3s. They pretty much flow the same after transition as a T-78 (at least until 14-15 psi or so).

As an aside, If anyone is wondering why I am using yet another tuner(after Steve Kan, and Dave Segalla), it is because, since I am forced to do this again(do to mechanical failures), I can get a feel for each tuners abilities, style, and compatability with my goals and equipment. My initial impression of Dave was that he is knowledgeable, and a hard worker, I would use him again. I chose Brian because of his familiarity with tuning high boost applications, and I plan on tuning at 20, and 25 psi. I am sure Steve, and Dave could also do the job. Carl

Guys, we are starting to fill up, I will be calling each participant to nail down a day, and time for each tune. I will be asking for a ~50% deposit to cover plane fare(I have already purchased Brians tickets), and a portion of the tuning, and dyno time. I am working on some reduced dyno rates, the sooner I can commit to two full days, the better the rate will be. Thanks guys, Carl

yes, you, me, and Alex on Friday, Jim Kelly on saturday, and I have several others working bugs out of their cars for a saturday tune. Will you be using the Aquamist? Do you need race gas? Jim asked me to get 15 gallons, if we have enough demand, I will have a 55 gallon drum delivered to the shop of 111, and I'll bring my pump, otherwise, I will P/U 5s for whoever wants it. Carl

Carl, I would be in as soon as I work out this bug that has me as a gross polluter.
I think i have it narrowed down to that 240k miles ignition coil finally failing.
Hopefully I'll have everything fixed in time by the end of the week, early next.

I just got the parts today.
Parts will be installed in the car on the 5th/6th.
If that fixes the problem I should be in.\
How many spots do we have on Sat?
What do u think the dyno time will be for the tuning portion?
