ok...well the meet was a blast, (except for the ending)(ill explain in a moment)..... there was 4 cars(not a bad start).... 1 s4 na, 2 s5 turbos, and a fd..... we took a cruise up to forrest falls (gotta love snow).... then we went to this street called newport (which is a bumfuck egypt street where there is nobody).... and just hung out.... we will be having these meets once a month.... and we will give everyone good warning before the date is set each month...
now the bad ending...... (for me anyways)... on our way back, we were on the 10 freeway, and out of nowhere was 2 chairs in the middle of the lane...... speedemon and zero were able to avoid them, but i wasnt so lucky! they swerved into other lanes, while i had cars on either side of me! i hit one of the chairs dead on @ about 70 mph.... damage wasnt "horrible", but a scratch is horrible to me... it shattered my ftp lense and my HID headlight assembly and took a whole bunch of paint with it.. here are a few pics

yeah, that was pretty cool! (not the freeway thing, that kinda sucked)
got to drive a 3rd gen for the first time, also just for the fun of it, i went to the Mazda dealer and test drove an RX-8 just so i can compare it to a 3rd gen.
anyways, thanks for showing up Zero, Scotty305, and Vipers.
I THINK we might plan another run for the day after thanks giving (we will see how people react to that one first.)

Hey it was good to meet up with you guys, I love going on cruises like that.
Personally I prefer smaller groups, it's much easier to keep track of. Anything larger than 7 people and things get a bit out of hand.
Re: day after Thanksgiving, I've gone on a few cruises on this day before, it's a great day if you avoid all the consumer hotspots. There is very little traffic on scenic backroads. This is assuming the weather is nice and there's no snow.
I wish there were more photos, but I forgot to charge the batteries.

I vote for daytime, my headlights really blow. I went for a drive with some Subaru buddies a couple years ago, day after thanksgiving, we met at noon and had no problems with traffic.
I've still got to check my schedule for work, I might not be able to make it.

thanks scott for the photo. This was taken out the sun roof of my RX-7 thanks to my girlfriend, and her then wind blown hair.
we have plans the day after, and we all work the day before ...... how about the saturday after? morning again?
say..... Saturday the 27th 9:00 A.M. @ A&W in Yucaipia
take the 10 freeway, exit Yucaipia blv. turn left.
road will force you to turn a little to the right (right after the bakers, and the gas stations)
head up the blvd. a couple miles up, on the right hand side will be an A&W, right next to a Del Taco.
I Belive someone said this was on the corner of 10th, and Yucaipia blvd.

9am Saturdays are usually good for me. I'm not really a fan of those particular hills though. If you guys are going to be that far east, how about San Timoteo canyon, or maybe Highway 243?

I've been meaning to check it out, MSN Mappoint says it's a ~30 mile drive between Banning and Idyllwild. Motorcyclists give it good reviews.
