hey all........ good, we have a schedule set.......... i'll be there!!!

 

i have a guy that wants to come but his car is a non rotary. he is looking into buying an RX-8 so i told him he can come. so i guess it does not HAVE to be rotary powered, just highly recomended!

 

Cool Jan 15th sounds good I will see if I can make it, I got to register my car again, I failed smog so I am currently working on that, I will watch your post. How long do you guys usually cruise for, if you started at 8am

 

it just depends. we like to have a little time to just hang out at first, you know check out the cars, then mabe a run. after that last time we went and had lunch, that was cool because we were abel to sit down and just talk rotary. it was great, so i think we will shoot for the same type of thing again this time. we were done and heading home around 12:30 last time.

so the actual run part is like an hour or two.

just so you all know over in the RX-8 club site a couple concerns we brought up.

1) eight A.M. is sooo early
2) why not have it the first sunday of every month. like Jan 2nd

yeah, the last two were at 9:00 and it seemed like an extra hour would have been perfect, but everyone had plans areound 12:00 or 1:00 so we all decided the extra hour would be in the morning instead.

i kinda figured 8:00 once a month would be ok

as for the first sat of every month.... sounds like a good idea, we should seriously consider that, but as for Jan lets stick to Jan 15th since everyone on this site and the RX-7 club site have all made plans for the 15th.

mabe we could start the in feb??? gives us somehting to talk about over lunch on the 15th!

dont you hate it when you type up a big long message, and then your boss walks in on you and you THOUGHT you hit copy before closing the window, just to find out later that you in fact did NOT copy your previouse LONG message.

anyways, i will make this one WAY shorter, and WAY more to the point, as i dont feel like typing it all again. (it was long)

anyways, it said something like Thanks Riccio for your input, how about we all wait to drive such a technical road for a day that we can accually enjoy it. lets count on it being closed, or full of rocks.

also said something like the reason i wanted to meet in Rancho area is because i wanted to give the Rancho are people to be closer to home. but if everyone is cool with a San Bernardino meet the that is cool with me as i live here.

also said something like i dont htink we have to have a run set in stone as between all of us, at the last minute if we all want to go for a drive i am sure we can think of someplace to go.

the reason i say this is because we have no idea what weather will be like. if its raining, we might all just want to go to a place we can just hang out at, and not even go on a drive. but if its clear then we all might want to go to forest falls or something.

anyways, i had also given a time and place. this is not set in stone its just an idea

the reason for piching Pirate City Tattoo Parking lot, is because this is ware my best friend (Vipers on RX-7 club) works. its a nice nutral easy to find place. decent sized parking lot.

hey i finally got the new tires installed on my 7.....if i can get the damn tranny installed along with the oil cooler ill try my hardest to make it to the meet.....ok so if the meet starts off around 0800 is that when we start cruisin or is that when we get around and check out eachothers rides and then we go cruisin....im just askin b/c i live in 29 palms and its like a 2 hour drive so im leaving around 0530 just to make it there...damn thats early.....alright well ill try to keep u posted with if im coming and keep me posted on all the final details....l8r...parker

 

8:00 is when we meet, i think we will be there untill 9:00 or so before we leave.

 

I'm putting my engine (Pineapple race port engine, ceramic seals) in at that time. But I will go in my RX-8.......Nice to see a lot of rotary people locally. Can't wait to get my seven going.

-make right on E st.

-cross the railroad tracks
-its directly across the street from pep boys all the way in the back of the shopping center (windjammer, radio shack, rays deli, pirate city tattoo)

Tom and i worked out some of the bugs and trying to get the secondaries to open up. i am going to try to take the gsl-se outthere and try to keep it under 75. i will try to see if tom can comeout. peace out brotha
