Coroner Case #700700857-- On Tuesday, 01/30/07, at about 9:55 AM, David Segalla, a 27 year old resident of Crestline, was driving a 1994 Mazda RX-7 southbound on Highway 18 near Mile Marker 14.08 north of San Bernardino, when he crossed over the center divider line and struck a northbound 2001 Saturn head on. Crest Fire responded to the scene and fire paramedics pronounced Segalla dead at the scene at 10:10 AM. The California Highway Patrol is also investigating. [013007 1510 SY]

we thought we should do something for a guy that was such a Major influance to the rotary community. (at least to us he was)
Vipers, my wife, and I are talking about doing a memorial drive in Daves honor. more details to follow, but check here if you are interested.

I knew Dave for a while, and he was all about giving back, he always had a project to do, and cars to tune. We all were touched in one way or another by him and his work/insight. The response to this thread is very heartwarming, and I know he would be smiling right now if he was reading it. For him to be able to finally see all the fellow club members who have a heart, would make him very happy.

I hope that anyone that owed Dave any money , or favors, would please show their respect by giving what they owed in the form of a donation to his family to help with burial expenses. Please contact FC_Fris about contributing to this fund. I can't tell you guys how much we are going to miss him, he was a valuable member of Lucky 7, and a seasoned veteran of RX-7 Club.

DAVE WE WILL MISS YOU!

there are no details yet, the only detail we really have right this second is that Vipers and myself will do a memorial drive. weather or not anyone else wants to join will soon be discovered. also what is to be layed at the grave site is also to be determined. Thank you very much for your offer, I will post details in the memorial drive thread as to what we might come up with. I really didnt want to ask anyone for anything, but we will see how it goes. Dave never seemed like much of a flower guy to me...... although flowers sticking out of a rotor like Vipers said........ MAYBE
