My little boy, Donny just saw the picture of Dave with his hair down and said that isn't right. People will think he is a girl. He never saw uncle Dave with his hair down. He thinks the ponytail looked better on uncle Dave.

Hi Everyone,
Thank you to all of you who still keep Dave's memory alive. I just know as his mom and friend that he really made me a better person. Most of the nice things he did for other people he did without recognition or the pursuit of recognition. I am trying to become more like my son.
He had a very old soul. When he was a little boy he mostly hung out with adults. Sometimes he would go for walks with me and always introduce himself to all the older people. They all got a kick out of him. His friends always came from all walks of life. I think he got that from me. Some days are still almost unbearable for me. I just miss him so much.
All of you have eased my pain by all the nice things you have done and said about my son. I believe that some day Dave and I will be reunited in Heaven. Our family believes that we can all be together forever. That does bring me comfort.
I love you all for the good people you were to Dave and the support you have been to our family (especially me). For those of you who have not seen the new youtube.com video it is really good. It is 8 min, and I think really good. Take Care,
Love,Dave's Mom

Oh yeah, I was remembering a time when Dave had made some modifications to his engine and he asked me if I wanted to go for a ride with him. I said sure. We went down and then back up Waterman Canyon. Guess where I ended up? Yep, on the floor board. I was scared half to death, but at the same time it was thrilling. That was so much scary fun. He was laughing so hard. A great memory.

Yeah that sounds like Daves car! : it was very fast.
one time he came to one of our meets, he took us through crestline. while up there his engine started to let go (it was blowing up) so he told us that he was going to take off and head over to your house. 2 days later the engine was rebuilt and the car was running again.
(this was his high compression engine with the 91 rotors in it that had blown up... he was pretty much expecting it)

Casey,
Thanks for remembering Dave with me. Funny, I have 5 children and someone said to me well, it must make losing David easier since you have 4 other children. It definitely doesn't. One child can never replace another one in your heart. They all own their own place in your heart. AND DAVE WAS ONE OF A KIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad we were close and I am happy to have so many good memories of him.
You and your wife have been so great through all of this. Thank you for keeping in touch with me.

That is great news! I hope everything goes great for her.
I still miss Dave posting on here.
Thank you Dave's Mom for continually posting on here. I love reading your posts. You should write a book about him. I would love to read "Life With Dave". Stories of him are so entertaining.

There are so many things on this website that Dave should have responded too. I feel almost as if I can remember Dave's reactions to things and that always makes me smile. This site will always remind me of Dave.

I am not the person of whom you speak. I just moved here a year ago. I was in Vegas until then. I have since found part of the rotary community here and can find the individual if you wish. I would be more than happy to help. BTW do you what Dave's reaction to Alaska was? I would love to know what he thought of it here.

Dave told me he loved Alaska. "Beautiful, quiet and peaceful" is what he told me. He really did like it out there and was a relaxing trip for him. He planned on taking another trip out there again this summer.
I don't recall the guy's car he worked on. I think he was int he military. All I remember is that he tuned his FC somewhere around 400HP and broke the rearend at the drag strip on the second pass. Typical with Dave and his aggresive tuning. Some fun times with 20PSI runs on a GT35R with Dave tuning as Co-Pilot...

Dave loved Alaska. He spent 5 days there the first time and 4 days the next year. I found out who the guy was but haven't located him yet. Hope you enjoy it there. Next year my husband and I are planning a trip there. Thanks for responding
