Question, what is the correct way to configure the P1000 to support this trigger wheel. I tried to set the trigger type to the Motronic 36-2 but it says its not supported? I must be doing it wrong lol. Using the S5 Internal 800-1000 base map and latest version of ECU manager. Thanks.

Hey guys, I was just wondering which setup could I use since I have an older Haltech E6k ecu, under the setting there are a few different ones. I don't know which front cover I'll be using yet as I have 2 of them (13bre+ FD). I'm not willing to change out the ecu.

thewird, it should be set as rx8 style trigger.

dznutzuk, unfortunately the e6k does not support a motronic style wheel with rotary.

Hmm, for some reason the RX8 Trigger option isn't there with that particular map. But if I open a different one, for example the Sprint RE S5 map, it shows. I noticed that the one where it shows, the map is a 1.07 version and the none where it doesn't is a 1.06 version. I wonder if thats the reason. Does anyone know if there is a way to update the map if thats the case?

When a 2nd group buy comes around let me know, I'm in the process of acquiring parts for a rebuild and will be going with a stand alone shortly after.

Yeah I'm kind of confused on that part because it doesn't mention anywhere in the manual that the motronic setup doesn't work with rotary. Here's an excerpt from the E6k manual and I've checked the program and changed the settings to motronic style on rotary engine(not connected to the car of course) and there's no warning messages or anything like that.

We originally thought the same, so we emailed the tech guys at Haltech and they confirmed that the E6K would not support motronic style wheel on rotary. Not to mention they no longer support any software/firmware updates for it so if the e6 you own didn't have the firmware, no luck. That manual is a bit vague.
Sorry

How about for Power Fc or stock (which would be about the same)even for more accurate resolution?

I think you're asking if we offer anything for stock or PFC?

Unfortunately both of those systems are what they are and can't be changed.

i only just became aware of this option, and i like what i see so far - the apparent quality and the EMSs that it's compatible with. it's definitely going on my wishlist.
