I received my lights about a week ago, they look great! But when I went to go play with them, my battery is dead so I haven't gotten to see them in action yet, but as soon as I get time, I will charge up the battery and play with them and snap some pics.

Any idea when the next batch of customers should be receiving the email to ship their lights out? As mentioned before I just bought a spot that I think will be in the next batch, just want to make sure I dont miss anything.

Just got my Lights!!!
Just got the lights and installed. Here are the pics, couldn't be happier with Theories service!!! He even wrote me a note because my light was scuffed before and he didn't know if it was like that or damaged by the shipping package!!! A+++++
Left is newly installed custom made light by Theorie. Right is authentic 99 spec tail lights.
Enjoy!!

Well, AzEKnightz is number #16 on the list if I read this correctly. That means there are still 9 more to go on the first GB. Dan, Tom, do you have a game plan for those that have paid and those that are waiting for the next round?

^wondering the same myself, since I'm kinda out of the loop on this GB, but want to make sure we finish everything in a timely manner. If you need help with the load, I'll happily do the rest of the assembly here at the "west coast branch"

IIRC they did agree to do a total of 35 for the first run, maybe the reverted back to the original 25 though.

I just know Ive been asking for an update for a few weeks now, both on this thread and via PM, and have received 0 response. Im not in a hurry whatsoever and am not trying to seem impatient, but I think some sort of response and update would be in order.

Little late for that.
Not upset, just holding out hope for second round...

Here's the deal... Tom (Theorie) is building all of the headlights... it was his concept, his design, and he is physically building all of the light sets. The involvement of SakeBomb Garage in this project was ultimately to get it off the ground with financial backing, and help manage and process the payments (Scrub has been doing all of that). Aside from that, the rest is Tom's project (and product) and is the reason I personally haven't been involved much if at all in this until now. I've spoken with Tom directly, and he is confident that he can complete the rest of the orders for this groupbuy by the end of January (so a little over a month). I hope this sounds reasonable to the people who were in the first GB. Thank you for your extended patience, and for bearing with us!
Second, I have spoken with Tom regarding the possibility of a second GB, as there seems to be lots of interest (and anxiousness) to make another one happen from the people in this thread. Tom and I spoke recently about the logistics of running another GB, which has basically boiled down to two scenarios:
- Tom will continue to produce the lights on his own, aside from SakeBomb. This makes sense as ultimately it is his design, his project, and he is the one physically working on the lights. This also makes sense for us, as we have little to no control over the progress of the lights, and as we don't have a physical role in the construction of them it would make more sense to let Tom run the next GB completely independently of SB.
- Tom will "lease" us the design, and the lights will be modified directly by SBG in our workshop location in CA. The good thing about this, scenario is that we have a generous workspace location which would allow us to build the lights "assembly line style" and hopefully speed up process significantly. It would also allow us to have control over the progress and speed with which the lights are built, while still giving Tom credit (and a paycheck ) for his design and hard work that went into the concept (the actual end product is only half the battle... the first half was design, implementation, and sourcing of custom parts to make this happen).
We will continue to discuss the logistics of the next GB with Tom. Ultimately, it is his, and only his decision regarding if and how things will move forward for a subsequent GB. I'll formally say that we are not going to be putting any pressure on him one way or another, as ultimately this project is entirely his, and he has complete control over it... so please don't pressure SBG to make more tails, as they are currently not ours to make! Again, thank you to everyone in this thread for your patience!! And to everyone complaining that they want lights... join the club... even I don't have a set yet
