There all packed but I took the forms to the laser cutting shop for the spacer brackets and they basically told me it would be over 2 weeks. I'm trying to work on a quicker solution now and will meet with Peter again to see if we can figure out another simpler way to space it) but at the moment we're looking at at least 2 weeks to have aluminum forms laser cut.

All of the lights are packed up in boxes ready to go with bulbs, ballasts, projectors, harness, etc. Packing materials and all... if you need them quick you could make a spacer for them and I could give you all the details of what we made.

The above pictures alone are enough to make the 2 weeks bearable.

Honestly, great looking work sir. Your company has definitely delivered.

Applause.

HOZZMANRX7 03-19-11 08:06 PM

Thanks for the pics. Just I get few windows to work on my S5 Turbovert, and that weekend is the next one and probably the last until Summer.

I'll wait until you're happy that the kit is complete. Hopefully this will spark enough interest that another batch will make sense to whip up. A second time around will obviously be easier what with the learning curve yo went through for this batch.

the aluminum tube spacers are ordered, and should be arriving late this week. I just got a spare FC headlight bucket assembly and am sorting out the most secure method to hold the lights in the chrome frame now (be that a CNC laser cut plate in the back, square tube stock, etc). I'm working as quickly as I can but I don't want to jump into having these laser plates cut if there is a more secure (or quicker) method.

BurntOrangeT2 03-23-11 05:07 PM

Not a problem, just wanted to see where we were.

FC3S_nataku 03-27-11 10:36 PM

No but I made up a couple extra sets to stock. PM me if interested.

Status update: Looks like we've got a good solution for spacing, and parts are ordered. The boxes are all packed and ready to go, so as soon as the spacer parts come in, we'll bag em up, throw them in the boxes, and start shipping.

That said, if you have an outstanding balance, now would be a good time to start gathering up or submitting funds so your lights can be shipped as soon as the spacer parts are in. -Heath

nope, I'm still working on the install instructions.... idk how you got them so quick lol. The FD instructions are very similar but I'm working on throwing a few FC specific pics in for a dedicated FC install guide. I'll try to finish it tonight, and I'll post it in this thread at that point. -Heath

I live like an hour from you guys lol...maybe that's why? Awesome! I was looking at the hardware and there's these 4 metal looking brakets? or are they the spacers you were talking about?... I just need like a picture diagram to see where they go so I can kinda get an idea :icon_tup: thanks again SBG.

I'm working on the guide still... they sit behind the headlights on the side (2 per headlight), and the cylindrical spacers attach to the chrome ring, and replace the short stock bolts (leave the back bolts for the cylindrical spacers somewhat lose so you can screw in that mount, then tighten the bolt. Before you do all that though, you'll need to dremel off a section of that inner bucket. I'm working on getting this all in the guide with pictures.......

Hmm, I've tried everything to get it to work.... I was up till 5am lastnight finishing the writeup. I can see it, though when I click the "published" version it's not there. I tried re-saving it multiple times... I'm not sure what's going on with google docs......

I can save as a word doc or PDF and email it to everyone if I can't get the link to work

MadScience_7 04-09-11 03:50 PM

Can you email me the instructions as soon as you finish them? I'll be eagerly awaiting them.
