No worries on my part. Its winter up here in the Great Northwest and my FD is tucked away until spring. Still it would be nice to get them to work on as a winter project.

Thanks for the update.

They're not much of a project. Maybe an afternoon adventure Only takes maybe two hours for the complete install (without aiming) haha.

I've been patiently waiting since I sent my payment but it's passed the 5 month point and I really think y'all should light a fire under this. I know you are ready to move on to other things and we are ready to get our lights

If anyone wants/needs to sell their spot, let me know please...

Please remember that as this was/is a group-buy, we did not place the order for raw parts until all the payments were in, and received the last of the parts about a month and a half after that.

In addition to that, we've personally had a number of setbacks which have seriously impacted the timeframe which we were originally hoping for. One was grossly misjudging the amount of time it would take to build this quantity of lights. It's an enormous process, and I can't convey the amount of hours required to do each step to the lights. Unfortunately on top of that I have personally experienced a number of huge setbacks, which have been pushing back the expected ship date further and further. Unfortunately, days before Christmas we lost the use of the workshop here in California, due to circumstances outside of our control. Everything had to be packed and I'm currently in the process of relocating. I realize this is the last thing anyone wants to hear, especially at this stage in the game. I've been working my hardest to avoid pushing back the date on these parts but realistically it may happen.

I would also like to remind everyone that this is not a full time business for us, and unfortunately we (Dan and I... but especially myself at the moment) are subject to the constraints of life including work, grad school, and family. That said, I'm doing my best to push these along as quickly as feasible, but there have been some serious hangups. I definitely understand the anxiety waiting for new FD parts (I've been there before, anxiously waiting for GB's to materialize on this forum), but I can assure you that being on the other end of the GB is no easier

Hey at this point, with my luck, a piano could fall on my head . It's not that the last timeline estimates were BS... we legitimately had a bunch of unforeseen stuff happen that really set us back. So I'll say yes with the caveat that we both understand that I have been having a really horrible streak of luck the last few months

I distinctly remember walking under multiple ladders last year, and I may have witnessed the occasional black cat. Who knows, maybe someones got a voodoo doll (GoodfellaFD3S??) but I'm about ready to be done with all this bad luck/misfortune .

^ +1. When I saw these lights on Dans car I had to have them.

As long as I get them installed before the trip to this years DGRR I will be happy.

Been following this thread since my search for the Sonar clear headlamp housings led me here. Thumbs up for this much needed upgrade!

As your waiting list grows, I've begun to wonder...
Since you're seriously considering avoiding doing these upgrades in the foreseeable future, would you consider doing a group buy for just the housings? You apparently have an avenue for sourcing them.

I've yet to find any available from any US vendor; found an Aussie vendor on ebay which I would assume has the RHD type, and overpriced.

You can put me down for a set. At some point in the future I'd like to attempt the upgrade, and possessing the clear housings will be key.

the housings are an issue for us to source too, so any housings we get are turned into HID's. I'm not really interested in selling just housings, but you may be able to find a used set in the for sale section if you post. We may have a handful of extra projector kits at the end of the GB so if you want a set add your name to the list. I can't guarantee how many we'll have for sale at the end, and we'll basically go down the list in order.
