I'm gonna catch hell for this one. There are several companies out there that make conversion kits to put in an LT1 from a camaro or corvette. A stock LT1 with about 280-300hp will put you at 13.0 at the track.

The '93-'95 Camaro Z-28 and Firebird Formula LT1s were rated at 275 horsepower, which was bumped up to 285 in '96-'97. The '96-'97 Camaro SS and Firebird WS6 Firehawk were rated at 305 horsepower with a limited edition 335 horsepower LT4 available in '97 only.
The '92-'96 Corvette LT1 was rated at 300 horsepower, with a limited edition 330 horsepower LT4 available only in the 1996 Grand Sport model.
