Parting out Vs. selling my RX7 ( V8 conversion)

whats up guys,
i might join the dark side soon and get an LS1 put in my 3rd gen. what is better parting out my car or getting a new car stright from hinson super cars?
I'll list all my mods ( with a price on it) and let you guys help me decide and tell me if i'm asking too much for anything :

3mm Race ported motor (3K miles) $3500
this includes all the stuff attached to the motor , 850 prim. ,1300 sec. and ACT SS clutch
5 spd with 48K miles $300
Custom T70 BB turbo kit (not installd yet) $2000
PFC $1000
greddy SMIC $500
Custom FMIC $400
Bonez DP $100
RE Amemiya MP and EX. $400
rebic 3 with extra injectors $200
Greddy type S BOV $125
stock twins with 48K $100
greddy elbow $50
Apex intake $125
supra pump $100
Profec B $200

the total is $9000. will that get me about %80 of the LS1 conversion?

if i sell the car as is ( with the twins) i might get $16K at the most. the car has 48K miles on it and all the above mods.

any input would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

im for the v8 conversion, but why do you want to go ls1 with the mods you have? seems like you already have a good fd going.

I was going to say the same thing.

With your current set-up the car must be a monster....especially if the T78BB was installed

Not that I'd want to push someone over to the dark side (come on over, you'll love it ), but $9000 is definately doable if you do the work yourself and already have a lot of the tools you'd need. I have about $11K into my swap, but I rebuilt my brakes, went with stainless brake lines, new pads, bought a new Koyo radiator, put in new coilovers, billet shifter, and a whole bunch of extra little goodies that I didn't necessarily need. I have at least $2K in goodies.

AS you've probably seen at the torquecentral forum there's a pretty good ittle support group too, if you need to pick someones brain

I used to have a t-78 powered rotary. 850's/1600's the whole nine.

Do the LS1 swap. You'll love it.

I would stick with your setup if it is all tuned and running. It will be hard for an LS1 swap to be faster than what you have. I'd say you could put down 500rwhp with your current setup. An LS1 would need alot to get there. But the torque an LS1 gives is pretty bitchin My friend has a 490rwhp LS1 TA and my bro has a 440rwhp single turbo FD. They are pretty close but I know the FD will take it up top. I guess it depends on what you want and how much you're willing to spend
