I'd say you will probably need a different trans crossmember, but I don't know. Search Grannysspeedshop.com and the V8RX7 side of Torquecentral.com and you will find the answers easily I'm sure. A few people have had serious issues with granny's, especially for 3rd gen cars and LT1/LS1 stuff. But the 1st gen 302 I'd bet you'd have no problems with. I can't remember if anyone has mentioned using a C4 either - I've seen an AOD mentioned though. Most people have been using the T5 behind that. Good luck.

my roomate is machining all the brackets neccisary, so i dont have to deal with grant
my mounts are similar to his for the enigine, except that im welding them to the crossmember for piece of mind
the tranny x-member might be the stock one off of the donor car (79 t-bird) if it fits okay with a little floorboard strengthening
or is there any chance i can get one made that will use the stock mount points?
btw do i need to hammer the firewall anywhere besides behind the vavle covers, is this even neccisary
