Crossmember?

So lets say i decide i want to put a ford 302 efi 5.0 Ho engine in my 2nd gen rx7. Could i potentially cut out the mustang crossmember and fit it on the rx7 crossmember and weld it in and drop the motor in? or should i just fab something up? But if i could use the mustang crossmember or w/e else had a 5.0 efi, it could work right? Just an idea, it wouldnt cost much and it would be easy to find one in the junk yard. I could make it look pretty too.

There is no need for all that work. Just build some mounts to install it to the stock crossmember.

no, you're not going to be able to cut the crossmember out of a mustang and use it..
mounts are real easy to make, if you've made mounts before. If not, hit up Granny's
