Complete Information on Ls1 Swap
Watsup guys, I am new here. No I do not plan to make one post and leave this website, let me just say that. It seems more practical for me at this point in time to drive a stock ls1 rx then it would be a worked wankel.
Anyway, Im looking for as much knowledge as I can on this subject. I figure I would ask some real owners instead of my buddy who just works on cars period. Is this swap worth doing with my friends with proper equipment? Or is the chance for error worth the garage costs? Would I want the power steering out, and if so why? Obviously it would be ideal if I could find a clean body with no engine or blown head gasket etc, being that I have another car, but this might be difficult locating in the new york area. Should I expect to pay around 7,000$ for one that isnt running? Any info would be great, that's what I'm here for

The FAQ's and threads should be more than helpful of the websites that twokrx7 has mentioned.
Tackeling the swap yourself is fine if you and/ or buddy have some mechanical knowledge. Powersteering out is a personal preferance but keep in mind it might be more troublesome with a powersteering rack for fitment purposes. You won't find an rx-7 with a blown headgasket, unless it has a swapped engine. The price depends on the body style your expecting to put a LS1 into. Just do a search before you go post a thread as many topics have been gone over time and time again. Good luck.

I have a lot of pics on my homepage in my sig, if you are building an FC there are a lot of steps you can check out in there to see what youre up against, its not a difficult swap at all and the end result is a monster of a streetcar.
