lol no, just cooincidence, guys were in the background getting a motor back in a 300zx... Car holds perfect vacuum and holds the target boost set by the profec B
Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll tackle the pump rewire, filter, and pull the plugs and see how they look.

Alright, time for a quicky update:
Did a fuel pump rewire:
- Ran a new 10 gauge ground from the pump harness to the chassis
- Ran 10 gauge from the fuel pump to the 'Fuel Pump Relay'
- Inserted a connector into the empty fuse holder next to the 'Circuit Open Relay' and installed a 20a fuse
- Cut the main feed wire to the 'Circuit Open Relay' and put it to the newly installed 20a fuse
Installed a new fuel filter
Those two mods alone have cleaned up the power band substantially. The car has woke up in the upper power band and no longer feels like it is breaking up.
Next on the list is plugs and wires then round 2 on the dyno.
For the time being, some random pics from tonight (was bored):

Its a generic ebay damper, but needs to be modified to work on a USDM car.

In regards to the pipes not fitting; it's interesting how that works. I bought some Samco silicone replacement intercooler plumbing/piping for my FD. They didn't fit "perfect" as I've heard from others. It took a lot of "tweaking" to get them aligned and fitting properly without causing bends or pinches in the plumbing.
Great build and such a beautiful FD. Good work.

Ohh ya, forgot to update on that...
Turns out the JDM y-pipe is slightly longer then the USDM plastic piece... I had to take an angle grinder to the smaller Trust elbow that turns down to the SMIC to make the proper clearance between the pipes.
This also allowed me to mount the SMIC at the right angle and gave me the clearance I needed for the longer aluminum charge pipe to intake elbow fitment.

Finally got back to the tuners for some rolly road time. End result was 312hp/243 ftlbs @ 15.2 psi. I'll get more pics up soon of the dyno sheet / and soon, wheels

Ugh, fark my luck... Ran the car the other day, and it was running phenomenal. After the 3rd pull it fell on its face.
Let off and pulled over immediantly to a lumpy idle and found the vacuum line on the FPR blew off. It caused a lean condition, enough to probably take out a seal. Car is driveable, idles decent and sits around -16 inHg but you can tell its hurting.
The worst part of this all is:
1. If I replaced all the vac hoses like I should have, this may have been avoided
2. If I had gone ahead with meth injection there MAY have been enough fuel to prevent it from leaning and may have saved the motor (subject to debate)
No sense in driving it around like this and potentially doing more damage, so I'm going to get it rebuilt. Coolant seals on this car were a concern from the getgo, so looks like a seal kit, new water pump and a apex seal kit are in order. While the motor is down I'm going to do some other mods that I couldn't do before:
- Port wastegate
- Urathane motor mounts
- Solenoid delete
- Clutch steel braided line
- FULL silicone hose replacement (learned the hard way not to depend on 17 year old rubber)
The 'wishlist':
- Upgraded fuel rails
- Upgraded FPR
- 850cc primaries (my duty cycles were on the high side of the stockers anyways)
Sooo ya, I'll keep everyone posted.
