They are not as good as the T2. The verts just had the 5 lug and better brakes. Same size pumpkin as the typical NA model however.

Mine has had only a couple weeks of driving on it with only one or two good romps. It is already sounding like its on the death bed.

Probably be worth it to just go with the T2 rear end. Spending money on the NA rear end is just about the same as throwing it in the garbage at this point.

Like I said, mine has only seen a couple full throttle hits and it is going to die any time now, but it was already in the car so I was interested to see how long it would last since I have a T2 rear in waiting.

well i was only considering it because the previous owner bent the toe arms in the rear and a buddy has a vert laying around so i was going to swap the whole rear subframe, diff, axels, hubs, bars and calipers.. then maybe keep mine and build it with Works arms and mounts and then turbo diff and axels. Then I can swap it in later and have a drift rear end.. or weld diff
i also need the front sway bar for my rx7 cause front end floats..

and car might be finished sooner then plannd, a lady came into my work and was asking me if i knew anyone that was good on a computer to recreate her exterior of her house shown on the plans she had with a few different styles of stone and brick. I said how i had gone to school for architecture and that i could help her out and do a few different senarios for her.. then she offered to pay me.. a decent pay for 6 drawings or so.. lol I might be able to drive my Rx7 this summer.. sweet

ordered parts.. now the longest waiting ever.. and also my speedo never worked and my tach just decided to give up, would it make more sence to run the cable from my tack right to my distributer? also how would one get a t5/rx7 speedo cable? trying to get car on road so i can finally drive around and stomp some tools.. plus car groups track day is coming up

I used a later t5 speed sensor and with a auto meter speedo . Works well and can be calibrated if you make tire changes .

Not sure how the interchangeability works with the Ford speed unit. I used an electronic speedo from an Integra. With a small amount of modification it can be put into the stock cluster and hooked up from the speed sensor. Some guys even swap over the RX7 faceplate since the numbers line up properly and it looks stock. It works with the GM unit just fine and accuracy is within a couple mph.

You can get a whole 94-02 Integra cluster for cheap to harvest stuff out.

Neither of us mentioned using the cable. This would be all electronic. The 94 and newer T5 transmission has an electric speed sensor that replaces the cable and can run an electronic speedometer. You could buy them used for fairly cheap I would guess.

and your saying that using the integra speedo would work with this sensor allowing me to just run a wire?

It would take some research on your part to find out if it works. May need a conversion box to make the PPM match up, or as another member has mentioned an aftermarket speedometer. I was just mentioning the Integra speedo because it is dirt cheap and fits. May not work with your application.

Who knows maybe a converter box plus cost of Integra speedo will cost more than an aftermarket. Just thinking of ways to help you get down the road...

yea, im more worried about not having a tach working now then the speedo, being in the city its kinda easy to gauge the speed since we cant really go fast.. maybe ill just run an aftermarket..

Nice! You are going to really enjoy the car. I have been taking mine out to track events, beating it all day and then driving it home. These cars almost beg for that sort of treatment, lol.

i hope mine is like that even tho its carb not fuel.. but still my buddy is LSX swapping his 240 and we joke that one will be faster then the other.. then my buddy with a 7m with 90mil turbo will most likely be fastest when he hits 6krpm and turbo starts to spool lol

ripped the toe arms out, ebrake cables and sway bar just to get at the toe bars.. PBM look way to clean and shinny on my car.. might drop subframe and paint it so I can hide some surface rust. hoping to have car back on ground this week or I buy more upgrades. really want to upgrade that dinky sway bar in the back or coils so I can make it stiff since the struts are all shot
