Great project! Why is everybody using the Corvette engines? Anybody installed a different V8 into a RX7?

leaning to go with a procharger rather then a turbo only for the fact that ill have the power off the line plus really dont want to go with all the issues from a turbo.. doing some work on the car this week hoping to post some pictures and gunna post some from my buddys s13 that we are sr20 swaping at the moment.

hoping to get it ready so that its all body and interior work during winter so i can sit inside car with heat on and work.. lol

im lazy
looking for the drift body kit, rear visor and also a spoiler
got some nice rims off my buddys car they look nice but no idea what they are from.. which is funny because i think that they were from a chrysler but meh.. they were $50 with tread. i originaly bought s2000 rims from a buddy to use on the rx7 and my civic but the offset its retarded so i cant use them on the rx7 without using a huge spacer which i dont want to do..

Today purchased some new wheel studs, since mine were stripped (from other owner). for the front i decided to go with Arp 100-7708 so stock sizes and on the rear an Arp 100-7713 which is extended incase I decide to run a retarded wheel offset. also purchased some new shorty headers because my long tubes had been mangled.. after they are installed I will have to do some modifications to my exhaust but now the headers wont rub at the end of my driveway. also looking to buy a rebuild kit for my turbo front calipers and steel braided brake lines. so I’m sure by the end of the day ill be broke waiting for my parts. thank god Christmas is coming up and ill hopefully be able to get some parts lol

lol! Yeah, my H-pipe contacts the road if I come over a hill at speed. If it weren't for the heat buildup, I'd just have my landlord fab a skid plate lol! Though I'd love to see the car complete (rarely happens after a house purchase), best of luck getting the house!

So recently started doing a lot of work, new e-brake, new rims and tires (temps) going to buy 17" mustang reps, painted the motor black with BBQ paint.. looks awesome carbs the only thing not painted. While removing and painting the Ugly chrome/rustic valve covers I found out that the heads on my 302 were in fact 351 and had upgraded rockers and springs, Awesome! Found out that the cam that I bought might not work with the stock block. Also found out that the original owner must have bent one of the toe arms because on the driver side the rear wheels has a massive toe in and an alignment wont do.
Sooooo
Now in order to drive the car this summer I have to fix the rear end so I might just upgrade the toe arms and camber arms. Also is it possible to swap the guts from a turbo diff into an n/a diff? And rear vented brakes cause I have solid rotors and I dislike them. ill try and post some pictures tonight if I don’t decide I want to do more random stuff to car
Trying to come up with a cleaver 302 badge for the side of the car using the Turbo II

They have adjustable toe on the rear but camber is normally an aftermarket bushing. I used to do alignments. Really nice job. I like cars that take a lot of thought and yours is one!

cut the rad mounts out to move forward and weld and then have enough clearance for my dual fan and my thick rad. after this it mechanically is done.. except the exhaust but i like it really loud. still need a front sway bar and i might just buy some MAX rear adjustable toe arms.

Sooooo lastnight me and a budy welded a new rad support in the RX7 and its not going anywhere.. the steel on the rad support is probably thicker then the steel used for the frame, but meh.. it no bend. After i cleaned it and painted it flat black with BBQ paint and added some beautiful zip ties, looks like my car.

Still to be completed....
- Exhaust down pipe from header to existing exhaust pipe
- Front sway bar stock or aftermarket at this point dont care
- Replace rear toe arm with a non bent one

Other then all this Im sure i have tones more but I think I get get it on the road with this stuff done.

Also decided lastnight im not going to run a stereo, im just going to run an amp to all my speakers and my sub and run an auxilery cable to plug either my Iphone or Ipod.
now no one can steal my radio cause ill unplug my phone.
