if i decied to keep this car i have the option for any ford small block what would be the best motor ?

There is NO replacement for Displacement. But I think it is easier to build it with the 302, because you have to use the 351 swap headers in the 2nd gens for the 302.

You can allways stroke the smaller 302 for displacement. The 351 is considerablely taller. which would cause hood clearance problems.

351 is stronger, but heavier, and taller.

It really depends on how much power you plan on making and how much displacement/rpms you want to use to make it.

All I can say is... make sure you can get a header to fit IF you go with a 351, because, with a 302, you have to use 351 headers to get them out of the engine bay. You will have fitment issues with the 351 headers on a 351, in an RX7.
