Holy **** are you serious? I pushed 350whp with a t04-S, 750/1000 combo at 78%DC on an E6X
to the OP - that sounds like really good power for that boost level and mods...I've never seen a stock turbo FC make it over the 260whp mark in person, and at 12psi, thats almost unbelivable. Post the graph please Also, the TQ is MONTSTROUS. The last 250whp stock turbo FC I saw put down a little over 200TQ IIRC...so thats pretty wild.

Nice numbers, the graph displayed by stevensimon is mine. It is very possible that the cold has affected both the octane requirements and your power. My dyno chart was on a dyno that reads like a mustang dyno (conservatively) and was done in the middle of july with ambient temps reaching 101 that day. The afr's on my graph aren't correct because I didn't run the dyno sniffer.
Either way, good build. You have a slightly larger port than mine if it is infact a large streetport. Mine is a pineapple medium streetport with slight modification. Good work, hopefully that thing lasts for ya. I have been running mine on premium (91 around here) since I built it for safety sake. Beware detonation, it sounds like rattling plastic dash pieces so it can be there and you wouldn't know it lol.

If you are talking about the boost tapering off towards redline.... its the small stock turbo, not a boost leak. The engine literally consumes too much and the compressor isn't big enough to feed the motor. Been around the block several times with boost leaks for sure.

ok, no problem, I was running a hybrid stock hot side with a upgraded cold, and it would taper down to 6 psi, as a matter of fact it would never hit anything above 9psi, I never heard the leak on the car and we where looking. One of my friends mentioned to me that I should take a look at the lim gasket, I did, took it off and found out that it was split in 2. Replaced it and 12 psi all the way to red line. But if your sure that that is not the case with you then no worries.

From my understanding the boost tapering off as engine speed increases is a result of excessive backpressure being created in the small hot side which reduces turbine wheel efficiency. I had an instructor at my school that had good results porting the exducer bores in VW Jetta turbos 2-3mm's. Shouldn't be too hard when the turbos off, remove the hot side and give it to a machine shop, have them port it and the wastegate. You will lose boost response though.
In the end it'd probably be too much money for the POS stock turbo though.

On these cars, the compressor does not flow enough air to hold boost above 6psi to redline. This is why hybrid stock turbos can hold more than that to redline and completely stock turbos do not. Make sense?
Rotary motors consume a lot of air, the stock turbo was never really meant to go over about 8psi in the first place.
