about 12.79. i didnt go through the trouble of mph.
i went to http://www.rx7.com/racing/content/times.html and divided 1/4 by 1/8th times and came up with the below numbers. so take 1/8th time and multiply by 1.563. that should give you a decently accurate number.

1.5803 12.93
1.5635 12.79
1.5459 12.65

lol, the stock ecu is horrible. thats is all i have to say. i got a used haltech e6k for 800 bucks, downloaded a map that BDC sent me, used the timing off of his map, and tuned the fuel with a wideband o2.

i dynod 222whp on my STOCK ECU @10psi and it was in the 12's afr's (read: BAD) and i ran an 8.90 1/8th mile time @81mph. so i gained 4mph and dropped 7 tenths off of my ET just by getting an EMS.
i now have a haltech e6k, running 13psi and my afr's are in the high 10's (same stock injectors) and i'm making atleast 260whp.

you can actually make good power on the stock turbo with the right setup (read: haltech and streetport) contrary to popular belief. and i'm on the stock TMIC so hopefully there's more power to be gained

and no, lol i dont go to the strip that often, but i went a couple weeks ago as part of a local "streetcar challenge" with about 15 local cars. we went to the drag strip on a saturday, then autocrossed on sunday. anyways, at the strip, i was having to let off right before the finish because my haltech was pulling timing at the top of 4th gear due to intake temps (i ran out of ice for the tmic)... SO, all of that means that i got a really good 1/8th mile time (8.18@85) but had a crappy 1/4 mile time (13.0@100) since i was having to let off at the top of 4th gear right before the finish. so i was just wondering what that run would have been if i hadnt had to let off at the end of the 1/4

The stock TMIC sucks, I think you'll definitely see a huge increase with a decent front mount. For the record I've seen high 12's on the stock ecu/turbo/ic
There's no doubt that a stand alone EMS will be superior to the stock ecu. It enables you to run much more advanced ignition timing as well as ignition split.

The 85mph trap is actually not that fast for the 8.18 ET, you had one badass launch. With that ET you probably would have broken into the high 12's. Change out the stock interheater and go back for a second try.

I dont have the engine streetported or a Haltech but I am installing a SAFC2 this comming spring. MY goal was 250 rwhp but I'm worried an Safc was a bad idea for my goal....

its gonna be hard to get 250whp on a stock turbo with stock timing, safc or not.

OPEC did it a couple years ago with the new greddy fmic, 4 x 720's and a safc. Put down 25x rhwp. The big key is getting rid of the stock interheater.

It would be grand to brake into the 12's and I think I might have to start saving for either that front mount or a Haltech... $300 or $1000... damn I cant afford the haltech...

i would seriously do the haltech over the FMIC. its a wayyyyyy better upgrade.

the thing i like most about it is you can see EVERYTHING thats going on with the engine...

The stock ecu will control 250rwhp just fine, at that power level I feel that the front mount is more beneficial. I also would trust someone to run some pipes much more than I would to install an EMS and try to self tune a basemap.

i agree.
at that level, a fmic is a better upgrade. but you're probably not going to get to that level *on the stock compressor* without a haltech

I have the rtek 1.7 and now a new safc2 ... maybe I should sell them both and save a bit more for a haltech... But like gsracer said, I dont know how to tune one of those!
