I ran a 13.8 as my best time at CalSpeedway w/ just my arc intake box back in 04. Then my motor blew that night, and so I rebuilt the motor w/ mild streetport, stage2 clutch, pulley, light flywheel, powerfc + tune, dp, mp, radiator, exhaust, wastegate and non sequential turbo setup and ran a 13 flat on stock boost 5 months later. I didnt push it too hard ... slow launches.

Nice times for minor mods, dont forget that where you track your car also matters, weather, humidity, floor, sea level etc.

my dad bought an FD touring brand new 0 miles back in 93. took it to the track and managed to get a 13.2 pass. note i live in miami zero elevation and it was during cold season. he always brags about it lol yet it was only a one time thing. stock EVERYTHING. i even think he still has the time slip from moroso.

Stock motor fd with full 3" exhaust, Pettit Ecu and water/meth kit will run that all day every day. All for a total of $1k in mods. Nice try bringing up the LS1 talk though. Dont talk about reliability either, most LS swaps in FDs never seem to live up to the hype or run for very long for that matter.

I ran a 13.98 on my first pass in my bone stock R1 in 1999 with a passenger. 60ft time was just a tick over 2 sec.

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and I'm still waiting for a mod to approve my Introduction thread.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone know the stock 1/4 mile time for a 01' Type RS. I'm fortunate enough to get my hands on one in Japan.

My stock class R1 FD (k&N element in stock airbox and catback exhaust) ran from 13.4 to low 14s depending on launch. This is literally on the beach with very moderate weather.

Now that I have downpipe, midpipe, IC, Enfini Y pipe, boost controllers dialed down to 10psi boost and big wheels/tires for auto-x it runs consistent 13.7.

Haven't gotten back to as fast as stock yet, but its not as slow as stock either!

Those are all good times. I just bought a stock 93 r1 and can't wait to take it to the track. I hope to make it into the 13s with basic bolt ons

Than how come when you look for camaro's or vettes with 100k they are not on their 3rd motor like when searching for a Fd?

With a healthy and good driver they will run between 13.7-14. But with an average driver it will run low 14s to mid 14s.

I'd also be interested to see some more hard evidence of this, as I've spent a lot of time lately contemplating an LS swap to get rid of my urge to own a V8.

JDM '01 (206kw) ran 13.5 last week. I would say it has a bit more in it. plus my turbo transition is dipping below the usual 10-8-10.
