I do not know much about speedstar or stern wheels, but

Every one of those wheels you listed is an extremely high quality, forged wheel.

kinesis and fikse and iforged are extremely high quality, but they are also VERY expensive, over 3000 for a set typically.

I've looked into most wheels available for the FD, and the majority of them are heavy; truly lightweight wheels make for a very short list.

Out of what you mentioned above, I'd go with either Fikse or SSR (Speed Star Racing) Competitions (aka "Type-C").

The few other lightweight wheels I can think of off the top of my head are:

BBS RG-R
Volk TE37
Volk CE28N
Volk SE37K
5Zigen FN01R-C
CCW Modular
Enkei RPF1

HREs are NOT (IMO) performance wheels. Sure they look nice but they're all for show and the bling-bling. The 540s in an 18x10 weigh 26 lbs.!

All the track guys here run Enkei (rynberg), SSR (Sleep R1), CCW (maxcooper, Fritz Flynn, alwan16), BBS (ptrhahn, Beast From The East), Volk (Cossie), etc.

And BTW, less spokes = less weight. Lightest mesh wheel you can probably get are the CCWs (3-piece) or the BBS RG-Rs (1-piece).

thanks for the info..i think i will go with the fikse fm-10s or or the stern st-1

you think 17x8 in front and 17x9 or 9.5 in the rear would be best?

or 18x8 in front and 18x9 or 9.5 in rear? i don't want to roll the fenders so i'm just deciding on which setup would be best..i was thinking for the road course 18's would be best?

If you are going with the expense of a Fikse wheel you might want to consider wider wheels.

Fikse will undoubtedly give you fitment suggestions, or else this forum is filled with info in that regard.

No problem, but why would you go with the Sterns when you don't even know what they weigh??? Which is your priority, performance or style? If you want the wheels for style, you may have to make a compromise with weight and vice versa. And BTW, Stern ST-1s are dead ringers for Work VS-SS.

..i was thinking for the road course 18's would be best?

so i'm down to fikse fm-10's i will be calling them tomorrow to figure out sizing and offsets..i most likely will be goin with 17's since the car will be tracked but not enough to go all out for the 18's but i will decide tomorrow when i call fikse and ask them what they think.

any other suggestions would be nice though..

i just noticed on their website no number is listed? any one have a number i can call?
