Ok, how about what STREET tires are you going to run with wider 16s?

I havent acutually modded the 9's to fit the front cause the local autoX has been canceled since hurricane Ivan 6 months ago. Its not much metal to grind away and it doesnt appear that it will weaken the wheels
I take it you have to grind metal away from the hub-portion of the wheel, or grind metal off the calipers themselves ?

PS: the stock FD wheels will be my street wheels/tires.

If I take a set of Supra Mk IV wheels (16x9 and 16x8), and bore them out to 67.1mm, do I still need to install a hub-ring for a FD application ?

BTW: the boring would be done at a machine shop, and would be done centered/concentric to the original bore.

TIA,

BTW: I've bored-out the Supra 16x9 wheels to 67.1mm, and they fit perfect, no spacer or hub-ring necessary.

Now here's something weird. The stock FD 16x8 wheels clear the Pettit/Outlaw FRONT BBK, but the Supra 16x9's do not, because the rim's width is thicker, which means the inside diameter is smaller.
