Why locked?

Why were the Endless threads all closed?
I think the original poster, Endless (something), stated that you could've order them directly from him since he's a WD.

They have gotten good responses so far...

Or does this have something to do with ARD?

I was wondering the same thing. I hope I didn't get anyone angry by posting a pic of the ARD Protege5.

"No vendor ads" They are trying to run an expensive site here, any people trying to sell goods on the forum have to have it "approved" and "donate" to the forum for the advertising.

I think thats the general idea.

I locked the threads after I sent him a PM explaining why as well as how he can go about posting ads for his products on the forum.

People should use some sense. If you have a user with the name "Endless Work" who posts a bunch of threads showing all their products and then points you to all their distributors while also giving price and delivery information that sure looks like an ad to me. When that user constantly refers to "Endless Work" as "us" that sure sounds to me like he works for them. If there's still doubt if he works for them then all you have to do is notice that his posts are signed "Endless USA".

The rules are the same for every other vendor as well.

Everyone is so quick to go off half cocked and claim there is some sort of conspiracy or wrong doing. It's no different than if someone posted naked lady pictures in the Lounge; I'm enforcing the rules. If I had wanted to be an *** I would have deleted all the threads, not just locked them. If Endles Work would like to become a forum contributor then they can get their own forum all to themselves just like the other vendors here who pay for advertising.

1) No one's claiming that there's any kind of conspiricy is going on.
2) I, for one, didn't realize that anyone was trying to sell anything, in fact I seem to remember E/W mentioning that all the wheels he had pictured were spoken for. I just like to see nice wheels on nice Mazdas, that's why I asked for more pics.
3) Thanks for the explanation. I honestly didn't know why the thread was locked, but now I do. Peace.

I'm not going to bother searching for the thread, but I recall Ryan making it clear that he did not want the Forum used to transact business with Rishie's company.

No worries. i've replied to the PM sent. It's unfortunate that an end user may post this kind of information and refer business to a dealer, yet I cannot. Once again we do not sell to the public.

I hope that the community will continue to look for newer products being offered in the marketplace. I thought this would be a good place to begin educating the market about our products. Any facility is a potential dealer. Should there be good interest generated I would suggest for a vendor of this forum to take the same personable approach as I have here. It is rare that we find this and a shame that I may not share it. I do understand the perspective of the forum. I will pursue inquiring about such cost of "vendorship" even though I feel I'm simply showing cool functional stuff.

These are work wheels, we are Endless. I thought i could brake the common "Volk" or "SSR" mold that has been set in the past five to seven years.

Thanks for your time. It was great meeting you guys for a brief period.

that's understandable... Again, I was just curious like others... That and I like the look of those...

Curious, but what was the jist of the "no business with Rishie" thread? I know he's gotten busy, but I thought he was the forum's tire & wheel guy?

I have to agree that the money it costs to provide a place for several thousand rx7 enthusiasts shouldnt be exploited by Vedors for thier gain. If he wants the benefit of posting info about thier products and will generate revenue from it I think it only fair to contribute to the place that brings him the audience.

As a business man he should know. If he posts an add in the paper he is paying for the views it will get based on its readership (subscribers). This is no different and is concentrated for his exact target market.
I do encourage companies to advertise here. I think the price should be fair as it benefits both the susbscribers to the forum and the vendor. The fee too the forum will allow it to continue to maintain the forum at no cost to the Users.
In Theory the Forum should charge anyone tryin to sell anything in these pages but it doesnt. I am very satisfied with its current rules regarding what is considered Vendor advertisements.
I buy a TON of parts and nearly all have been through this forum in one way or another. Its a great medium and encourage "Endless Work" to stay and continue to contribute. If he wants to market his products here (and I hope he does) just go through the channels.

I'm so new here and am not trying to sell products. I did not advertise endless products. We have connection with Work, but regardless was not selling wheels. In any case, these forums are exploited all the time. And mostly by its users. Many many of these forum users will just post pieces at a time, or even PART OUT CARS, and sell used parts while profitting from it. Many start their own little businesses and then sell their products on the forum. Many times they a user who works for a company will start a group buy only to profit from it in the end. I mean, my posts are so harmless.

It's all arbitrary. I'm so new it's unfortunate that one, such as myself, was not able to just have some fun posting some cool products. And you know what, if there was enough interest and our DEALER BASE, was able to BENEFIT, from my charitable information and support to the community, then I would inquire about vendorship.

Before anyone begins to make any further allegations about what I should know as a businessman, I just have an endless car and do representation. Since we only wholesale the margins aren't there. Endless does not sell to the public. I came here to see if the community was all I was told it was here. Endless will begin to have a much larger presence in the rotary market and wanted to see how welcoming the community would be. I was told to contact a couple members who may be able to assist us with some beta testing and feedback.

I know so many manufacturers that are looking to have qualified people test out products, but unless given an opportunity to search for these apps the sponsorships will always go to a local user.

I asked Rishie about this "no business" thing and he mentioned exactly what I've witnessed. The politics involved with advising and helping fellow users is too costly. It's happened to me in just a few days and i'm not selling anything. Is this censorship btw?? If the alias were changed to Fikse but posting pics about Work wheels, would this be flagged?

I will gladly inquire about the cost of said vendorship. Rishie mentioned to me that he was asked to pay $250.00 a month to advertise on this forum. The majority of time was advising people about fitments and not selling products. They tend to carry very expensive product and I can see that he may not sell a lot of it because of its cost. He mentioned that it was costing him more time than there was a return, which was fine, but when he had to start paying for things like helping people, he lost heart. In any case, we stay in contact and he's always active in the Mazda community. I'm sure you guys can call them anytime. I searched his name to see what all he used to do. He seemed pretty good about repeatedly answering questions, rather than the usual "Use the search function Noob". hehe.

Mr. Mods I understand you are doing your job. With regards to the cost of such a forum, i'm sure if all the users who benefit so much from the forums would donate a dollar a month this thing would be nuts. I'm just blabbing. Either way I had fun posting. Now I'll make sure it's real black and white.

If people ask about Endless product, can I answer the question cause it's in the alias. If people talk about Work, can i mention my Work? hehe j/k. I can't handle it. It's so technical. G'night guys. Everything stated above is not related to Endless nor are the views of Endless. I'm just a guy with a car.

I don't see this as any different if "private" members start posting pics of "new" wheels that get released every day.

I would think it would be in the best interest for the forum to have vendors start posting their new designs first here.

That would generate MORE traffic here - which I thought it was doing.

But hey, what do I know...

The site Admins, Endless Work and myself are trying to iron this out. I am locking this thread as it will serve no useful purpose towards fixing this problem.
