What's flush for FD?
#2
That is a tough one. I would contact Rishie from AutoRND, he is quite the wheel whiz.
I have 18x9 with a +43 offset on the front and it is fairly flush.
The way the curvature of the front fender sits, it's tucked perfectly under the top of the fender & extrudes slightly at the bottom rear. I will post some pics for you to get an idea.
The 10mm less offset and 1" less width should make the front very similar to my fitment.
My rears have the same situation. A 10" wide rim with a +46. This too should equal out in overall fitment with comparison to your 9" rears.

My front sits pretty flush but the rear isn't..... I've got 18x9.5 +15 all around 255's front 265's rear. The front fenders are widened 25mm and the rear has been pulled a bit.
If my rear wheels were 18x9.5+5 they'd be pretty good, or 18x10+15 lol

Hey man, your rex looks hot! Comparing your setup and the setup I’m looking at, mine would prolly be about 3mm more tucked in front and back, which is still okay to me.
So I wonder what is ‘FLUSH’ offset for 8f and 9r wheels (with fender rolling)?

I've been doing a little research into this flush style. Looking at the cars posted above, they have no camber if not positive camber, in the front (could be camera angle). Seems to me that you could go alot more agressive on offset, and play on the side of bad tire ware. My tires go bad before I use them up any way,
I am going to be going for a flush fit this year but keeping the same tires 245,275. What I will be playing with is wheel width and offset.
Just my $.02

"FLUSH" means NOTHING without TIRE SIZES and RIDE HEIGHT.
With 235/40 I think it will pull on your fender tabs up front. 18+8 +36.
Rear i'm not too worried about but you have to determine tire sizes.
It's strange but I've had 18x8 +35 rub front fender, but 18x8.5 +40 with same tire has no problem. Lesson, a lot depends on how the tire sits on the associated wheel even though the 2 have similar front spacing.

The paint is called "Tropical Blue Met" its from a 94 MR2. My front tires do rub the fenders a little, but thats why I rolled the fenders, so when I hit hard bumps, the tires rub on the smooth part of the rolled fender so they don't damage anything.
In the front I have 235/40/18 18x8.5 +36 and there was some slight rubbing on the plastic fender liner as well. I ended up cutting some of the loose plastic, and then zip tied the headlight wiring harness on both front fenders to the frame lifting it up about maby 1/8'', that way the tire will hit the frame before it hits the wiring harness.

seems like everyone has their own opinion on what's flush. man i am still confused... i'm getting very near buying a set of wheels shortly
so here is what i am going for:
8f, 9r
stock alignment settings
car lowered so the top of the tire and the top of the wheel well meets, but not tucked
flush (enough) but not rubbing
