what are the best coilovers for my 93?

i just bought a 93 rx7 and was wondering what are the best coilovers for it? its not gonna be a daily driver and may never see the track. just want it to have a better stance and to be done the right way.

if it'll never see the track, why waste the extra $2-3k on the "best" coilovers? if all you want is a lower ride, go with something cheap and spend the extra few thousand dollars somewhere else.

Just cuz hes not taking it to the track doesn't mean he doesn't want excellent quality equipment. IMO, i would look into what TEIN has to offer as far as coilovers but if you do want to save a pretty penny then i would recommend Eibach sportline springs in combo with KYB AGX shocks. i loved 'em on my 240. goodluck with your new 7.

I've been thinking about what to do with my suspension set-up for a couple months.

I'm planning on buying some RSR springs from AutoRND, and wrapping them around a set of Koni yellows. For the street and a few track days, I think this will be about perfect. I don't think you can get AGXs for an FD.

If you really want coilovers, you can't go wrong with ZEAL

If all you are looking to do is to lower the car and never take it to a road course, you could do Tein Basics or a Tokico Shocks/Ground Control coilover combo. Both would be about the same price range ($700-800) and will get you where you want to be.

BTW, both are trackable (should you ever decide to try it) as I've know several people to use those on road courses and they were not novice drivers.

Moton makes a 4 way adjustable damper for the FD, it only costs about $10.5k. That's the kind of price range you're looking at for the best.

For the street something like Koni Yellow shocks and Eibach Pro-kit springs will be much better, and much cheaper.

Keep in mind that the RX-7 application for Ground Control is just the sleeves and springs. You still need to buy the shocks unless they now have a package which they are offering (its been a while since I looked at their products).
