Seriously, I'm leaning toward the CE28Ns again (was going with Volk SE37K) in Titanium silver, because of the 9.5 wide x 17, 47-mm offset size. It'd be good to have the widest possible wheels (without rubbing) at all four corners with 255/40-17s. With the SE37K, the widest I can go at all four is 9 x 17, 40-mm offset. That's marginally better than what I currently have with SSR Integral A2s in 9 x 17, 45-mm offset.
The CE28N style is growing on me, although I think the SE37K mesh is still much better looking.
The centercap for CE28N is optional correct? Are there other options for centercaps, like a simple button disk, like for the SE37K?
I have a red FD like yours, but mine is with factory paint (build date April 1992).

Yes, the centercap is optional on the ce28n and you can get different looking centercaps if you so desire. I'm pretty sure the simple button disk centercap will work but contact mackin industries (RAYS) to make sure. BTW, my FD is also factory vintage red paint build date march 1994. Does it look different?

I checked out an 18x8" CE28N sitting in the local ricey shop this weekend. i couldn't believe how light it was... feels like plastic.
But, I was disapointed in the titanium silver finish... its a low-luster silver, and looked like a cheap spray paint job IMHO... maybe it was just a bad one...
