I am planning on purchasing 18x11/18x9 Volk GT-N. Any suggestions on the offset I should use for the fronts and back. Currently It sits on Tokico adj shocks and Eibach springs.

A few questions for YOU

Have you read any of the previous posts on this thread?

Does Volk list fitment options?

Where are you getting your wheels? A true custom wheel dealer will help you with fitment options, and should be able to tell you whether this will work for you...

I do know of someone running 18x10.5's on the rear (BBS wheels)...and they do rub. I believe he's stock suspended too...Oh update on the car...it's back together (all body panels on) and mechanicals are back in including the entire suspension with the 9.5's all around. It looks a bit closer than it did before in front but they will work just fine. Can't wait to see her painted and then get her corner-weighted! Heck, can't wait to drive the 7 again! Sept. 9 was the last time she'd been driven on the street. Long time coming.

Cool! Let us know how it goes! According to the Japanese magazines I've gone thru, FEED runs 18X9.5 +35 all the way around, but with serious neg camber. Then again, theirs is a pure track car.

Wade,

I have 255/40-17 Yokohama AVS Intermediates on 9 x 17, 45-mm offset SSR Integral A2s... guess what? NO RUBBING AT ALL!

Do all the math you want, there are no guarantees unless you go very conservative on the front.

We tried 255/40 tires on 17x9 45mm offset wheel all around, guess what, by the math it seems like it will work no problems...

Well... we got tons of rubbing on the top of the fender on the liner, the inside of the fender well at full lock, and even hit the lip, got it rolled later. No problems on the back of course.

It depends a LOT on the brand/model of tire and the ride height. If you have an adjustable suspension and don't mind adjusting your ride height based on rubbing in your front fenders, then fine... but if you want a certain ride height for looks or to corner balance your car, you better go conservative or you might have to jack your car up to look like a 4x4 to keep the wheels from rubbing.

IMO there is nothing that looks worse than a stock wheeled and ride height FD... except a stock ride height FD with bigger aftermarket wheels!

Has anyone else noticed that 94 and 95 models seem to ride higher? Wonder if that is just the age factor or if the rubber spring stops are harder or something.
