Question turning x-drilled or slotted rotors

Can it be done? or replace them is the only way when doing a brake job.
Just curious if it even should be done.

It seems like it can be done, I'd hate to think you'd have to by new rotors every time the pads were replaced (since we're supposed to surface rotors with new pads). Obviously the slots would get shallower and it may make the holes even more prone to cracking. You'd have to re-camfer the holes with a counter sink. From a machinist's stand point it doesent seem like a problem, but I've never done it. Anyone else?

They can be turned just fine. No need to worry as long as the rotor is not worn past its replacement spec.

Thanks Damon. I take it you've done them yourself?

I don't use drilled or slotted rotors myself, but I know plenty of people who have had them turned with no issues.
