I've used AVS I's on my FC for awhile now. They are a GREAT tire for the price. They do wear rather quickly however, but still for the price you can't beat them. I paid $77 for 225/15/50's. Mine are worn down almost the radials in about 6 months, but I drive MUCH harder than the average person and put about 5 Auto-x's on them as well. They are great for Auto-x'ing and spirited driving. I have never actually track driven them yet. I am currently working at the Bridgestone Firestone Racing Academy racing Formula 2000 cars. We JUST switched to S03's. I haven't driven on them yet, but they were a BITCHT to mount on our rims because the sidewall was SO stiff, even stiffer than AVS I's. Our testers have all driven on them dry and wet and they all SWEAR by them saying how much better they than the Potenza's that were on before. Next month I get to drive on them, and after that I have 6 more races throughout the season in which I will driving on them. I will let you all know how they feel, although I can't really compare them on a F2000 car versus AVS's on my RX-7.

I presume you ordered stock size or 245/45-16s? Keep in mind that I'm running 255/40-17s, so there might a slight difference in performance. Don't worry. You wont' be disappointed If anything, you'll like them so much, you'll probably need to order a new set before the year's up

Oh...ok, yeah that will work nicely. 235/45-17 or 235/40-17?

WOW what a day!

SleepR1: they're 235/40's and the rear are 255/40's......good or bad?

Ok wanna laugh? I have a set of tires coming but NO WHEELS now!

I made the mistake of doin business with "Wholesale Hyperformance" last week. The saleman(I dont recall his name right now) actually was pretty cool w/ me and he pretty much made me a deal I cldnt refuse. So I ordered them, before we hung up I asked when they were goin out (they were in stock) and he assured me the following day (17th) they wld be OTW. I thanked him and I thought that was the end.
Well, its now the 24th and I didnt get any shipment, phone call or email. So I decide to call them, I cldnt recall the guys name so I spoke w/ the guy who answered the phone and his reply was...."yea dude hows it goin, they're right here in front of me. Silver right?" I say, "Uh no, they're gunmetal". He puts me on hold, comes back on the phone and basically gives me no explanation why they're still there a week after I ordered them AND have been charged for them. So in the annoyed state I was in told him to cancel the order! He was like "dude you dont want to do that.....these are tough wheels to get I promise they're goin out today". I told him I was promised they were goin out last Friday(17th) and a week later they're still in front of him.........cancel my order. He still insists that I dont/shldnt cancel the order....(so at this time I gave him the opportunity to do the right thing....that is to make ur customers HAPPY after you foul up) and that was to ship them to me via next day OR 2-3 day delivery max OR I dont want them. I kinda knew what the answer wld be but threw it out there anyway. He puts me on hold again to speak to the manager and says sorry no can do. I say OK no problem just reimburse my credit card ASAP. LOL....I told him I wld call my CC company to check on the reimbursement later in the evening and this is where it got foul.....he said well sir that can take till the end of the business day AND/OR end of next week.
WTF is he talking about? I told him I wld be calling my CC company after I hung up and warn others how they do business. Then the profanities started to fly... LMAO! always funny seeing ppl's breaking point and true personality.

Be forewarned! Im sure others had decent transactions but I thought Id share mine w/ ya.

Wow that's too bad...Perhaps it's time to contact ARD T2 for the Gram Lights?

I would go 225/45-17 up front rather than 235/40-17. The overall diameters match up better with the rear 255/40-17s. No big deal. With the 235/40-17s you'll just have a bit more negative rake to the car's stance--the rear end sits higher than the front due to the tire diameter size differences--24.4 inches for 235/40-17 and 25 inches for both the 225/45-17s and 255/40-17s

I do hope your card gets credited!

I've never heard of Wholesale Hyperformance, and from your story, no one in this forum should make the mistake to deal with them.
