Tire hit touch spring coil while doing U-turn
when i do U-turn (sharp turning), my front tire touches coil of the spring. I just verified it because there's rubber (tire) mark on the coil that sits the closest to that portion of coil.
It also occurs when i go thru up slope at about 40mph
there's only 8-9mm of clearance between that portion of coil and the tire. And the tire is not touching any suspension component
could it be too low of spring rate (front: 3kg/mm and lower car about 1.5" as stated by manufacturer)
spring: Tanabe GF210.
shocks: kyb agx (already tried all 4 damping levels and no help)
front tire: 215/45/17
car: 88 turbo2
front wheel offset: +30mm w/3mm spacer
any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

There's a few things you could try. One is to get some "crash bolts" and remove some negative camber, that'll get the top of the tire further away from the spring. Another thing to try would be to get some spacers made for the bottom of the strut, to space the spring further up. This will put the fat part of the spring further away from the tire. For the hard cornering problem, some stiffer sway bars will probably help by limiting roll, which will keep the tires further away from the springs. You could also try slightly larger spacers.

Is coilover going to solve my problem? (since coilover doesnt use "fat" spring)

Yea, a spacer at the bottom of the strut would essentially raise the lower spring pearch, raising the car. Coilovers would probably solve the issue, if you get some Ground Controls you can re-use your shocks and struts.
