My post count is high, cuz I have an opinion on everything, which speaks to Crispy's point about quantity over quality... LOL

BTW, Crispy, do you still have those "vintage" 9 x 17 SSR Integral A2s all around? Wanna sell them? PM me, if you want to unload them.

Alberto,
You should feel special. You got the crusty old veterans-- DamonB, maxcooper, ArcWelder, CrispyRx7, and ptrhahn--crawling out of the woodwork LOL
Let us know what you end up going with.

Trust me I do!! I think the only veterans missing is Rynberg and Mahjik, but they probably wouldn't waste the bandwidth as you guys covered it well
You have no idea how many old threads I've read from the people in the list above and all the useful info in those threads from you guys! I do appreciate the past, present and hopefully future posts and info from you guys.
I'm actually quite surprised how well this thread turned out. I was afraid the bling bling boys would take it over and I'd wind up with some chrome dubs. NOT.
I'll let you guys know what I eventually wind up getting. Maybe I'll see ya out on track someday. Maybe if I hit VIR, I'll run into some of you since it doesn't seem you guys hit Lime Rock or Watkins Glen.

Pulled up on old email form Mark Valskis dated 12 Feb 2000 regarding the shocks that he shipped to me during his lunch hour. This Mark Valskis had a yellow FD with 9 x 18 SSR Integral A2s. Mark was fabbing a set of 4-wheel big brakes for the FD, and fabbed his own 3-chamber master cylinder for our car.

What size wheel/tire are they running on the cwest car?
http://www.c-west.co.jp/labs/fudo_rx7.html
I have heard these wheels do not fit well because of the low offsets, but both cwest and feed are running them.

Max,
Marks car is now in the VERY capable hands of a certain Floridian chopper jocky named Carlos
Manny,
The timing of this thread is ironic as after many years of faithful service I have parted with the trusty SSRs to a good friend of mine. The replacement? A set of snazzy 18x10's on all 4 corners with 285/30-18 rubber purchased recently from another well known Forum member I am eagerly awaiting their arrival. This will be my street set. The track rims will remain the 17x10.5 and 17x11 CCW's with HooHoo's courtesy of Mr Barber.
Regards,
Crispy
- why buy new when you can buy used?

Crispy, I've seen what you can do with used wheels, if Mr. Barber's old CCWs are any indication of what you plan to do with your new used, 10 x 18s//285-30-18s all around LOL
