Are these lug nuts any good?
Just looking for some longer lug nuts, and found these on ebay, and wondering if their any good.

If not then what long lug nuts you guys recommend? Cause I don't like the way my studs stick out like this.

I wouldn't trust eBay aluminum lug nuts. This is an ok use for aluminum though, provided it's the right grade and it's been made properly with the right heat treatments and such. If you don't like the look of the long studs, then go back to the stock ones and sell off the ARP ones (well they look like my ARP's anyway).

Well, it was a bitch to install these ARP extended stud on this FC (Had to take the whole hub out), and the only way takin it out is by taking out the rear hub again, or cutting these arp studs, which seems really tough. So I thought it be easier to just buy longer lug nuts.
So I shouldnt trust these ebay ones? Which ones are good to get then, other then those expensiveass Rays ones.

For all we know those ebay ones will strip the first time you tighten them on. They could be just normal aluminum and not the 7000 series they claim. A lug nut would not be hard to fake.
I don't have any experiance with aluminum lugs, but I'll tell you now that you don't need them and probably don't want to have them. Next time you get a flat and take it to a shop, get new tires or whenever ANYONE but you takes the sheels off and puts them on they'll probably ruin them with an impact gun.
Steel is MUCH stronger and will only be a few grams heavier. There's no need for these on a street car, just get some nicer steel ones. Real stainless steel maybe?
It's unlikely that you'll ever find a lug nut to cover the studs with them being that long.

I got a set of those when I purchased wheels from Rishie at AutoRND.

Yep. Muteki makes good ones. If you want sooper JDM ones, check out RAYS lugnuts. They're about 100 bucks a set, but the ones I have have lasted since 2002 without any problems. I change my wheels/tires a lot too, so they've been "worked" plenty.

RAYS also makes open-ended ones.

However, since the studs are that long, to make sure the proper torque is applied he should use open ended lug nuts.

haha, yea im lookin for open ended ones, just longer then the ones I have on right now. And I checked out the Muteki Open Ended ones, and from what I see, they look shorter then the ones I have on right now.
edit: nvm, the Muteki open ended ones are 21mm, and my stock ones are 25mm

I put the long extended studs because I was going to put spacers on for my FD rims. Been runnin a flat spacer for a week, til I was told to get Hubcentric spacers, which were too much. So, I just broght a set of verts, which were way cheaper then the hubcentric spacers.

DO NOT BUY Kyokugen lug nuts! I had a set and they are extremely light compared to the OEM and Volk's lug nuts. However, they strip very easily. They were a PITA to remove and I will never take my chance with these lug nuts again.
