They were spinning out all over the place and not holding a drift very well. Obviously there are more racers using TEIN in JGTC and in drifting than JIC. JIC doesn't even place. In a recent option video, Keichi Tsuchiya aka Drift King and Orido (drift champion), both said that the TEIN suspension was among the best and most versatile suspension for both grip driving and drifting. Go look in the RX7 magazines where they rate the top suspension set up. The TEIN RE got 2nd. Come on now no real good drifter/racer uses JIC. For $1850 there are tons of other suspension I would rather have. To name a few: HKS hiper damper, TEIN RE, GAB REVO stroke 2, MAZDASPEED ST BOESEL, and for a little more you can even get the Apex'i N1 pro. Now who in the right mind would rather have a no name suspension that has yet to be really proven on the racetrack than these reputable companies who have real racing experience and are backed by real racers and countless hours of research and development. I ask you again rishie, do you even road race on a real track? Have you ever tested out both JIC and TEIN? If not then your opinion/"knowledge" does not even have merit.

Wow, thanks for the defense Mr. MAgic. I'm not sure how Victor could even compare JIC and Tein. One is built to US spec and one is built for Jspec. Even if he had, I still wouldn't compare them.
I found the ride to be absolutely beautiful on the FD, FC, GDA, Z16ATS, SXE10 to name a few. But whatever. My argument has no merit. Especially since Victor is a "Professional Race Car driver" according to his occupation. Who do you drive for and what do you get?
Laters, Rishie
BTW, I heard that Victor actually liked them when he had driven them in a car that belongs to a client of ours. Apparently your only argument was the price of the system. If you have problems with California Sales Tax, i.e. Greg's price, then take it up with the State board. There's nothing I can do about that. For those of you out of state it's a whole different ball game. The deal is phenomenal.

Wow.. there's some hostility up in here.
is there anyone else other than me with the FLT-A2's installed on thier FD in the bay area?
I'm not an experienced race car driver.. ****, I haven't even been on the track yet. but I'm heading that way.
I'll re-post my review of the FLT-A2's in the post below this one.
To squash all this squabbling, I'll be willing to let an "experienced driver" drive my car if someone with a comperable FD andTIEN HA's or RE's or anything else will do the same for a non bias review.
I can think of a good driver who's in the bay area, who has driven my car stock (****, he sold it to me) who has no problem telling people what he really thinks I need to see him this week and I'll run it by him.
Personally I love my JIC's. granted I have little experience driving other suspension set-ups, but I just got back from a 1000 mile road trip around northern california, and I have no complaints (about the car or my back hurting ) you'll see that in my next post also
victor, give me a call, we need to hook up this week.
rishie, I'll call you later in the week to check out your schedule and hook up.
Peace,
Greg

here's my review:
here's my review:
JIC FLT-A2 Coilover Review
I've finally recieved, installed and tested my FLT-A2's. And I have to say, these things are AMAZING. I want to touch on a few points
INSTALLATION:
A major plus is that these coilovers come pre-loaded on delivery. They have a 2nd block off plate for ride adjustment without changing the spring rate. You have to turn the whole stock rather than adjusting the top plate (or adjusting it by hand with the GC/Koni's Combo), but keeping a desired spring rate is worth it.
Rishie: Post my spring rate for me will ya? I forget what we decided on.
TESTING:
I took the car out friday night to settle/seat the suspension before the car got aligned saturday morning.
These coilovers are 17way adjustible and for the break in period I left them on the softest setting (I will refer to this as setting 0) to compare it with the smoothness of the factory R1 suspension.
To my plesant suprise, setting 0 was relatively smoother than the Stock R1 ride. Not by much but riding on the same road I took the night before seemed more comfortable. One thing I noticed immediately is that eventhough the ride was smoother, on larger bumps on the freeway, there was less give even on the softest setting. Rebound of the suspension was similar but the total travel of the springs was less. you were kept hugged to the ground much better.
On saturday we had a cruise set up with 5 FD's. If any of you know the bay area, this was a cruise along HWY 35 down to HWY 9. a great way to test out new suspension.
I had the suspension dialed in 6 clicks from the softest setting (approx 1/3) in both the front and rear for the first part of the ride. All I can say, is that it was tight. very tight and very responsive. HWY 35 is pretty smooth so there wasn't much road chatter providing still a comfortable ride.
At highway 35 and hwy 84 (woodside road) we stopped to let the cars cool down and get some food. I stiffened the suspension for the next leg of the cruise, from 35 to hwy 9. I'm now running on 10 settings from soft (approx 2/3) F & R. I thought setting 6 was responsive! Here I felt everything. Not as in providing a shakey/uncomfortable ride, but as in I felt like I was crawling on the ground inspecting the pavement with a magnifying glass. I felt that close to it. We hit some traffic also so I was able to feel out the suspension at lower speeds. again. no complaints
I kept the 10 setting for HWY 9. Again, just an amazing ride. This is a more weathered road and there are a few more unkept corners, and you could feel the flaws in the road alot more, but it was more than manageable.
We headed into downtown saratoga and out 85 to in-n-out in mountain view. Here is where I would not recommend setting your suspension on 10. I hadn't switched back to a softer setting and paid for it. well, I really didn't mind, because I was so stoked about my ride . But here, 85 and 101 have major flaws and accoridian like sections of the road. Not coilover (set on setting 10) friendly.
But what was brought to my attenton by this is how quiet these coilovers were. When riding in my friend's (BATMAN) ride. this area creates alot of noise from his GC/Koni's set up, with the sleeve design and a single block off plate which when adjusted allows play in the spring. My ride on the other hand was stiff, but quiet. There was no chatter or rattle!
I have to give thanks to Rishie (ARDT2) for hooking me up with these. I couldn't be happier.
If there's anyone in the bay who wants to check them out, let me know. I endorse these things 100%

First time I've seen a vendor straight up insult someone for no reason.. funny.

I do not make it a habit of dropping insults but this guy insulted me by claiming that my friends who came from Japan to showcase drifting skills(and these two guys have competed in D1) could not drive and that they were spinning out all the time. It was a flat out lie and if this guy was even at the event then he would have been as amazed as every one else. Shinji and Hiroshi are two excellent drivers and that was enough warrant my response to a very young man who is posting things that are false and not being able to back them up. Besides he's is supposed to be a pro race driver? I think there was plenty of reason for that if you have read the post. besides this is my personal stuff it has nothing to do with JIC USA nor any employee that works there. I am sorry to have possibly offended you and I would be more than happy to answer any tech questions you may have.

For no reason? Victor was trying to insult my abilities as well as the abilities of the true "Professional Drivers" for JIC at speedtrial USA.
I'm sure Victor just rubbed him as well as myself the wrong way.
These things happen. I'm not surprised that things have been getting blown out of proportion. something I've been repeating throughout this thread.

First things first let me clarify something about the two drivers that came from japan, both of thse guys could drive circles around you, secondly i did not see any amazing rotary drifter out there so where were you mr. big bad initial d wannabe?
Have you ever tested JIC/TEIN side by side? didn't think so. nihongo hanashimasu ka. didn't think so either- so how the hell do you know what they say on an option video?

ou sit here and run your mouth about if rishie is a racer but i think that that is just a way for you to hide behind your own inadequate skills. REMEMBER THIS JACKASS.. JUST CUZ YOU SAW SOME PICTURES ON SPEED OPTIONS DOES NOT MEAN YOU WERE THERE! so why don't you come to speed trial at willow springs this month? or next month? or any month. Walk up and introduce yourself to me & then and only then will you be able to say the kind of crap thet your spewing right now. I'll be happy to show you where the skidpad is. Oh yeah Next time you watch D1 video look real hard for a tein car, you wont see one. (but you will see a JIC S15) Get your facts correct before you try that hard to make an *** of yourself. I am very happy that victor is such a fast driver wow! he must really be a pro! how can he make statements about events that he was not even there? That is where I have an issue with his statements. you want to defend him fine! just remember that you are defending a person who talks sh*t about people and events that he did not even participate in. and about things that he does not even know about like the drift scene in Japan vs USA, and he also talks about Orido Manabu in one sentence claiming him to be drift champ then claims to have disdain for drifting( I am a grip driver blah blah blah) good for you. I just think you run your flap to much and I still lay down the gauntlet victor...... july 27&28th willow springs....... if you want to grip drive fine
just remember that drifting is nothing other than a great way to learn car control and that I can grip drive too... please don't take this the wrong way it is not a threat or any thing lame like that. this is more like a bring your FD out to play and we'll see? I mean it does say that your a professional driver.... who are your sponsors? how much does a professional like you make in salary? do you get photo incentive? do you dream up all this? any dope can make some time slip boast on a petty little forum I can spout lap times all damn day if I want but this ain't GT3 it is a forum about suspension.
Lets get back to that! I will still answer any technical questions you may have but I am through with this juvinile vitrial.(childlike conversation).

JIC's list price for the JIC fLTA2 is $1850.00. Let's compare US list price to US list price. I don't doubt that Tein's sell far below their list price.

Tein has so much more choices than JIC.... list price to list price... don't think JIC is any better...

oh, by the way, Victor is arranging a track event at thunderhill in about 3 weeks, why don't you come? what about Rishie? Victor posts good time on that track, I wont doubt the 2:06 at all, in fact, with the new setup, he should break that time easily.
um.... he is a pro...
and he IS at these events... where were you? were you in any of these events?
I am also defending victor, because it is the truth. There are many other bay area members who were at the events could prove that, so he is not talking ****... just the truth...
oh truth hurts... it will hurt you

I've had experience talking on the phone with rishie. I've heard from other forum members that he's the guy to get wheels from. From what I've experienced, Rishie is a nice guy. I inquired about some volk gram lites a couple weeks ago, and he seemed more than willing to help me out if not go out of his way plus his price for the wheels are pretty reasonable as well.
I know Victor pretty well as well. He is a very good driver contrary to what you think Magicman. I sat in his car while he ran up and down skyline 35 mountains and he is very fast and can control his car very well. I trust his judgement because of his driving ability regarding suspension set ups, etc... I also saw him run De anza autox in the rain and he did very well as well even thugh it was his first time auto-xing.
The majority of RX7 owners I would think do not drift there cars so why does it matter? Does Koni, bilstein or any other reputable company have a drift car? Most people don't care, grip driving is the fastest way around the track.
You participate in speedtrialusa, that's fine, Victor is a member of NASA Norcal and participates at the local tracks.
Right now I have tockico shocks with eibrach springs (from previous owner). I want to get into road racing and upgrade my suspension. I will be calling Rishie soon and also getting in contact with OSdesigns before I make my final decision (on where to spend my last few paychecks on ) Both of them have tried to be informative while you magicman, only posted one valuable post in this whole thread, the other threads were all targeted at Victor in an attempt to bash him. Why can't we leave that out of this thread? This thead has been one of the more informative threads in the forum of late.

DO you lay down the "gauntlet" to every stranger that challenges you? Did you eat bugs in kindergarden because all the older kids "dared" you to? Oh, or are you the one who ate paste? Why don't you lay down your flap and throw down the guantlet? I challenge you to just shut up and go away. God why don't you just grow up.

Rishie. you suck and lag at getting my sway bars
Victor. you're lame, that tofu smelt worse than my butthole.
M-M-M-Mightyslash could beat you both in a race. You two aren't hardcore enough.
now keep fighting damnit!
I'm just kidding. I'm just trying to push this hilarity through to another day of entertainment.

Totally carried away. I still love my forum brothers and without things like this people including myself wouldn't get good information. It's good to get criticism and feedback with these different parts as they are quite expensive any which way you look at it.
Can we all be friends now. See ya guys around,
Rishie
Greg you're not gonna get that next day of entertainment. hehe. Yeah but you got your swaybars really cheap. **** I'll probaby loose money because shipping of them is so expensive from the east coast due to their weight.
