Tein Edfc & Koni Shocks

I have yellow adjustable Koni's and I would like to use the EDFC. I have asked Tein if this was possible, but they said it was not - however I only half believe this as they might just want to push their product. Hence I have the following questions

1. Has anyone tried this or is running the setup

2. If not, do you think this is possible ?

3. Any pictures of the actual EDFC motors where they connect to the coilovers (ex. Tein Flex) - the bottom part so I can see for possible compatability with the Konis

I thank you all in advance
Riccardo

I highly doubt this will work. The koni shocks are only what? 5 way adjustable? The Teins vary between 16 and 32 way adjustability. It's also possible that the adjustment clicks are further apart then the Tein cilcks. The EDFC comes with a different bolt that goes in the top that lets you install the motors, it's likely that these thread sizes are different. A lot of things to conisder.

Scub, thanks for the input...

This is one of my concers...
however the Konis do not have the usual click, hence this is why I would prefer using EDFC as getting the settings exact each time is a hassle

Question is do the stepper motors have the ability to go through enough rotations? The Koni goes two full turns from soft to hard.

The Flex's that I have go through like 3-5 rotations from soft to hard.

Hence this would solve this issue, just would have to be careful not to over rotate it
However still remaining
-is there a way to connect them (same bolt, adapter ?0

IMO, you don't need to be more precise with the Konis than a 1/4 turn accuracy, which is pretty easy to do by eye. I don't see why you think Tein would be feeding you a line of **** -- I would be much more surprised if the EDFC WOULD work with the Konis.

I agree, it's not really worth it.

Rynberg, good point for the 1/4 turn
As for the second point, I like the concept, and I think probably with some adjustments it might work
Scrub, what do you mean by thread size ?
