suspension problems, makes rattle

just a couple days ago i installed my set of used kei office coilovers and cusco front strut bar on my 1991 n/a and then yesterday i had new tires put on, everything was great, handles like a dream but just today i went down my grandparents really long gravel driveway and what sounded like the front driver side suspension started making a wierd metalic rattle sound with every bump, i pulled over, jacked it up and took the wheel off and jiggled anything that moves, everything seemed pretty tight but then again it was dark out, my spring moved a little bit when i pulled really hard on it but it was not under perssure so i figured it was ok, started riding again still did it so i stopped at my friends who has been working on cars pretty much his entire about like 40 years or so and he thinks that my steering rack is loose but i dont really hear the sound while i am driving when i turn the wheel back and forth, i'm going to jack it up tomorrow in the light and make sure everything is nice and tight but i think it will be, any help would be great.

You may want to check your suspension bushings. You can't always move the suspension around without some serious force (like the weight of a car), but depending on the lifetime and history of the car, they may produce sounds ranging from a rubbery sqeak all the way to a metallic thud depending on the level of wear.

Hard to determine exactly what it is without actually hearing the sound, but hope this helps with the troubleshooting.

Good luck.
