stock vs aftermarket rim fitment
i have a question. im running stock turbo 2 rims current with car lowered. im using a 1/4" inch spacer up front and it barely clears the strut/spring.
now i wanted to get 17 inch rims with +35 offset. 7" wide up front, do u think i will need a bigger spacer?

A 16x7 40mm offset TII rim with a 1/4" spacer (6.35mm) will fit about the same as a 17x7 35mm wheel. The stut is angled inwards, so going with a larger diameter wheel will give you slightly more clearance.
I'd really reccomend going with a wider wheel, it'll allow you to run wider tires for better grip and hadling. If you don't you'll probably end up regretting it in the end.

Absolutely, a 17x8, 30mm offset fits about perfectly with a 225/45/17, that's what I run on the street and I've got Tein Flex coilovers. No rubbing on the suspension or fenders ever.
Common wisdom says a 17x8 will fit with between about a 35-25mm offset, the larger number risking contact with the susepension, the smaller risking contact with the fenders. If you want a good, cheap wheel, look at Mustang GT wheels from about 1995-2004, they fit perfectly at 17x8, 30mm offset (it's what I use).
