Stock rim cracking *pics*
I just noticed that a spoke on my passenger side rear rim has a crack as thin as a hair that goes all around(i think), i got some pictures. My question is: how much longer do i have before i will need to get a replacement? I dont beat on my car but i do drive it every day.
PS: i have a 93 Base

Actually I have a 94 with wheels stamped 12/93, they appear thinner from the back and are supposedly the cracking type. Could you take a picture of the back of your wheel and also the date stamp on the front? I'd really appreciate it.

Submit it to your insurance, make them buy a wheel or however many are damaged. How are the others? It's obvious that the wheel has already failed, I'd replace it NOW.
I wouldn't mention "defect" to the insurance Co.

Please don't drive around on that rim until it's fixed.

i never knew rims were so easy to being damaged.
i like scott's idea..
but what about noon's fix... buy one single 94 rims... wouldn't have different weights at one wheel screw up the axel or something along those lines?

Yes, these pictures are my usual high-quality jobs.
Anyway, here's a pic of the stronger ones. Again, I don't really know for sure which is which, but I hear these are stronger:
