SS Brake Lines, Bled, and "missing" 1/4 of pedal
I installed SS Brake lines today, Goodrich....not so much because they were stainless but because there was 150k on the chassis and original lines.
Bled the entire system with key on in the right order. I've done this several times and never ran into this before.
Got it all done, and when doing the last driver side front started getting odd noises under the hood, got fluid, then air, then fluid again pretty solid for 4-5 pump series.
The top portion of the pedal, like 1/4 or maybe a 1/5 just isn't there, or is maybe 10-15 percent braking power, after that it gets nice and solid.
I did the drive with Hawk Blacks since we're going to the track tommorow but even before the swap it was more linear.
Did I miss air somewhere? Is this a trait of the SS lines?
I'm very happy with the pedal feel once it gets down into the brakes, would like it to be more linear though until that point.
Thanks
